Great campground. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Convenient to the shuttles and general store/market plaza. Quiet even though there were a lot of people there. Would stay there again.

Stayed at Aspen #3 and Fir #61 on consecutive nights. Not much privacy from other campers, but we were fine in our class B campervan. This is a giant campground at a busy national park, so I wasn't expecting a remote, private experience and it was consistent with expectations.

The campground was very quiet and we enjoyed the night sky. The showers were horrible. The bathrooms were only OK.

Great time, even in the hottest weeks of the canyon, the place is a lovely place to stay and affordable. My family was here for 7 days, and with easy access to the canyon and market, it was difficult to have any complaints. It's highly unfortunate when other campers take advantage of the bathroom receptacles, sometimes causing trip hazards due to their lack of planning with the no electrical outlets. But that's not on Mather Campground other than to be a little more aware of the situations.

Loved our experience at the south rim. I was thrilled with the facilities at Mather campground. Clean. Quiet. Lots of elk while we were there.

Me, my husband and our 2 dogs stayed 2 nights and we had an amazing experience! The Mather campground was clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I was hesitant at first because one of our dogs was only 8 months at the time and she was a little loud as we are still training her to be around other people working with her barking to get her better trained. The market was a 5 minute walk from our site and the prices were pretty high, I would recommend packing as much as you can. The trail was about a 10 minute walk from our site. The showers were limited due to covid-19 restrictions, that was the only downside. We would 100% stay again if the opportunity to travel out west presented itself again.

Campground is enormous, sites are very small and do not offer any privacy. Guests were very courteous and campground was very quiet at night. Campground location did provide excellent opportunity for getting an early start to hike down into the canyon in the morning.

Amazing Place!! Super clean and well taken care off! Only issue was the open fire restriction but understandable.

The campground was extremely quiet at night with amazing stars!! The elk bugling and seeing the Mommas with their babies was very special.
