Colder at night than national forecast by 10 degrees even July! Crystal clear nights, amazing Milky Way, mountain breeze through the trees. Every amenity available at store and lodge just steps away. Clean bathrooms and water. Totally dark at site at night. Excellent

Great campground. Not a whole lot of privacy, but pretty well spread out. Close to the shuttle stop. Short walk to the restrooms which were clean and well-maintained. Shower facilities were also great.

This is our second time staying at this campground, both times have been fantastic experiences! The staff were fantastic and super helpful! We took advantage of the shower facilities, which was clean and they had very hot water!

Ive camped at Mather CG probably 25 times. Ive also volunteered with my company cleaning out fire pits and picking up micro trash. This is one of my all-time favorite places to car camp. Clean, level sites, elk just cruising through at times, and showers and laundry facilities close by if you need them. And a huge market within 5 min drive in case theres anything you forgot. 5 stars!

Ive camped at Mather CG probably 25 times over the past 20 years. Ive also volunteered with my company cleaning out fire pits and picking up micro trash 7 or 8 times so this feels like my home away from home. Mather CG is one of my all-time favorite places to car camp. Clean, level sites, elk just cruising through at times, and showers and laundry facilities close by if you need them. And a huge market within 5 min drive in case theres anything you forgot. 5 stars!

Pretty standard car camping spot. A place to put the tent, a place to park the car and a picnic table. Restrooms were clean.

Sites were in beautiful forest and well spaced. Our stay was in winter conditions with snow covering the ground but roads and pull ins were clear. Bathroom was not cleaned or restocked in at least 3days and water was ice cold. Potable water was not available in our area requiring a short drive to another area. Showers and laundry were at the main entrance building. They were accurately described by a fellow camper as penitentiary style. Old tile low dividing walls common shared gutter drain and only one sink and 1 toilet for 10-12 showers. Water was warm and $2.50 for 5 min was fair. Most users drove to showers. Sufficient parking for winter/spring occupancy. Nice to see well used public bus running throughout the park.

We visited in Early March. Tent camped. It was an adventure for sure because there was 2 feet of snow on the ground. Thankfully we came prepared with our own wood, and fresh drinking water. We did not have a shovel though so we had to clear the area for our tent with the wood we brought. Thankfully the bathrooms were close and had running water and flushing toilets and had heat. The drinking water assets were not available because pipes would freeze over not and you may or may not have access. Highly recommend bringing dry fire wood, fire starter, shovel, and clean drinking water if you plan to camp at this time. Showers were available but you had to drive. Laundry was in the same facility. One benefit to camping during this time of year is that there were very few other tent campers during this time and it was beautiful!
