The showers offsite should have a way to pay besides quarters. No one uses quarters anymore, and to be honest many people do not carry $1s either. It seems like a relatively simple invention could fix this.

Really great camp site. Very close to visitor center. Enough and more space between camp sites

As seniors, we were limited on where we could stay during our trip. I found it discouraging that those staying at the more expensive campground or the other lodging options were able to take showers, but we were not. It certainly seemed like those with more financial means were treated better than those who are not. Especially since we would have been charged to take a shower (we were more than happy to pay that fee) but those with direct access to a shower (unlimited in time, I might add) could bathe as often & long as they wanted.

Fantastische camping, prachtige natuur en alles makkelijk bereikbaar via de shuttlebus.

The campground was very nice but we were extremely disappointed and angered when we drove all the way to the east entrance and it was closed with no signs for 30 miles warning us of the closure. We drove back through flagstaff and it added 4 hours and 160 miles through a blizzard. When we brought it up to the ranger next morning she didnt seem to care at all, just too bad. Typical unaccountability BS.

We were very grateful that the showers were open. We also saw a Mama elk with her baby as we were entering into the campground, which was fun.

Fantastic campground in a beautiful park. Nice, shady, clean, and a great place to van camp!

It's not easy to get a reservation in the Mather campground, but I kept trying & finally did land one. Well worth the effort! The campground is clean, pretty, plenty of space in each spot, lots of shade... It was about a mile walk from the campsite to the Canyon rim (OK, I made it a mile & a half because I got lost & stuffed around a while before asking for help. Once I found my way, easy peasy). The bath house was clean. I was not too far from the showers/laundry... I have to say the shower room needed a bit of sprucing up. I was told they did some remodeling in there, but I couldn't see it (broken & missing tiles, etc). I had gone up there at that time for the Star Party, which was cancelled... which was a pity, because the stars were spectacular! I also found out you can rent bicycles up there, and at certain times they will take you on a guided tour. Be warned, the shuttles were running at a reduced schedule.

Being close to the Grand Canyon was wonderful. There was lots of space in the campground. We loved it.

The campground we stayed at did not have hook ups. The campground is in a grove of Pine trees. The wind whispering through them is amazing. The toilets were clean. They did not have showers available or most shuttle service available, because of covid restrictions. The grand canyon is a short 2 minute car ride. The views are amazing! To the point that they do not even look real. If you can go here!

A lovely campground with level, paved sites and plenty of shade. Each site also has ample space.

We spent 2 nights there with our 2 boys in April. The campsites are big, the campground is clean , safe, very quiet, very peaceful. I wish we stayed more nights.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the Grand Canyon. We walked to the South Rim from our campsite. By staying on GCNP we also didn't have to fight the Spring Break traffic jam that stretched for miles outside the gate. Camping in a trailer for three days without electric or water connections was a challenge, but we knew that going in. The only negative was that the showers were closed because of the pandemic. Fortunately we had a small shower in our trailer so we made do. Definitely a recommended camping experience .

We had a great experience at this camping area! Clean bathroom, polite neighbors and great site!
Arrived at night and did the late check out. When I arrived at the gate, there was a group of people that probably works at the area and a nice man came to me and helped me out! He was great! Gave me the paperwork I needed and explained everything to me.
My name was on the site post, I felt special! So exited to plan another trip soon to spend more time there! Highly recommend!

Website was a little confusing, and I accidentally made my reservation for the day I booked instead of my arrival date. Nonetheless, the check in agent was very friendly and gracious. She quickly found us another site and all went well.
