During our visit, we had rain, sleet, and snow, and it still was an excellent trip. The campsite we had did not get muddy, despite the precipitation. Close proximity to bus stop which made getting around a breeze. Will be booking here again.

We had a wonderful time here in early August 2024. It was monsoon season with daily thunder, lightning and rain showers. These usually came in the afternoon or evening and lasted 1-2 hours. The thunder and lightning was stunning, a great part of the experience. Super cool vibe in the campground. Very clean and fragrant with pine. Europeans everywhere. We were a bit concerned about whether our 21 foot tent trailer would fit. The online specs say 15 ft, but the pics looked like the driveway could accommodate more. We emailed the camp office, and they invited us to come give it a try and would relocate us if necessary. But the trailer fit perfectly. At the campground you're in walking distance to the shower and market, though we chose to drive. It's a brief, 3-5 minute drive to the rim, GC Village and the visitor center. We saw little wildlife in the campground this time of year. Just the ravens. We loved camping here and can't wait to come again!

Campsites are close together and noise travels really well, bathrooms not very clean but seemed like that was the campers being dirty, not the rangers. Showers are in disrepair.

Nice camp with shower and water, nearby to Grand Canyon view.

Dump station needs to be upgraded. The rest was perfect for us.

Very nice campground. Quiet, lots of wildlife. Pay attention to what side your campsite is, if you want your door to open up towards your fire pit. The dump gets busy. Do everything early.

The only reason to stay at a campground instead of free national forest land is for shower facilities. The day we hiked rim to rim the shower was advertised open till 345. Hustle out and got there at 3. Sign said "sorry closed at 2". Next time we'll just stay in Kaibab.

Beautiful area. The camp grounds are in good shape. The bathrooms are clean. The showers are located in only one spot and are pay showers with hours only in the morning. The are is beautiful the views of the canyon are incredible. This is a bit scary if you have small busy children as the "Rim" is right at the edge and drops off quickly. There is a grocery store, lodges, restaurants. Make your reservations in advance to ensure a spot.

Great hammocking trees, decent spot relative to restrooms. I'd stay here again!

Mather Campground is the perfect way to experience the Grand Canyon. Secluded yet close to everything, and well supported with clean restrooms and drinking water available nearby. Spent 3 nights there and got to explore so much.
