Stayed during the winter and had the whole campground to our selves. The only wildlife were crows who would stake out campsites for food (very entertaining to watch!!) If you plan on camping in the winter, please bring lots of layers and thick socks lolClean bathrooms (yes, multiple!) and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Close to trails, general stores, lodges, visitor centers, etc. Also pretty okay service, dont expect anything spectacular.

Great campsite with plenty of shady spots and restrooms close (but not too close). The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. A really great experience, especially considering the popularity of the destination.

Location, of coursebut the sites were very well laid out so they feel quite separated. The campground and bathrooms were super clean. Having laundry and showers was greatly appreciated.

This is a lovely campground within the national park. Spent a few night here in February, which was perfect not too cool, and not too crowded. There is plenty of privacy as the sites are fairly large and you can set up your camp between the trees. Highly recommend!

Mather is a great jumping point off for hiking the Grand Canyon. Hikers wake up early, way before dawn, everyone is quite.

I used site 311 in mid-October for 2 days. It was a solo camping. In short, I liked the campsite and the maintenance offered by Mather Campground. The site was not a completely private one, but not close to adjacent sites. Enough space (considering the sites of North Campground in Bryce Canyon). The restroom with a dishwashing sink was nearby. Its general store was a convenient supermarket for family campers. The shower facility was OK to me, but a little bit of upgrade will be recommended. Thinking of the purpose of wildlife camping, Mather Campground was 9 out of 10.

Very quiet, got there when it got dark and left there in the early morning. The late check-in note at the registration center could be a little clearer.

Our spot was perfect for what we wanted. More than enough space for our 6 person tent. Had two restrooms within close proximity, and good amount of dumpsters as well. Crows were about the only animal near by, and I will say you MUST put anything away because they WILL go through it. We went on a hike and came back to our stuff all over the ground with peck holes. Otherwise, if you go during winter (we went on the final day of winter) please bring adequate blankets or a good sleeping bag. The village store had more than enough supplies in case you forgot anything. Very close to many trails, and vistas. Definitely would love to come back and camp again.

The Pine campground was neat and clean. The campsites were a very nice size considering it was a "tent" only area. The staff at the check-in/registration building were very kind and knowledgeable. The bathrooms were clean, working well and in good locations. The campground is approx. 1 mile to the rim, so is easily walked to. The store is very close if ice or other items are needed. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to others.
