The camp area was so clean, all the staff we spoke with were friendly and knowledgeable and the park ranger we met along bright angel trail was just amazing. The whole experience was so great.

At this point I've camped in all loops of Mather and they are all great. Bathrooms are clean, camp sites well maintained.

Honestly the campground was everything I was hoping for. Very clean, even the restrooms there were perfect. I really enjoyed my time there.

Campsite nestled in the pines with enough space between other campers and short hiking distance from the Grand Canyon Rim. Water points and bathrooms within walking distance. Concrete picnic table excellent for handling food preparation, cooking, and outdoor dining. Rounded metal campfire ring with a BBQ with enough space to cook steaks for a family of six. Enjoyed our morning visits by grazing elk. Highly recommend staying a couple nights at Mather Campsite then treat yourself with a hotel stay in Grand Canyon Village.

We loved our stay at the campground. Too bad you had to pay for the showers, but the toilets were clean.

Easy access with a general store in the park to make it easy to get necessary items.

I loved the campsite itself, but the bathroom sinks were the push kind which was a little inconvenient. I was also expecting showers in each bathroom site, but there was only one place to shower and it was at the front of the campground. You had to pay in quarters and if you didn’t have any they have a dollar to quarter machine but no place for a card. So make sure you have cash on hand. $2.50 gets you five minutes in the shower. Oh and the showers were only opened from 6am to 1pm, kinda annoying but whatever. And even if the water isn’t going in the shower the time still counts down (lol had to learn that the hard way). Overall, it was an okay experience I’ve just been at better campground sites in moab and was expecting the same kinda thing and a little was disappointed.

The restroom near our campsite was shut down during the weekdays and reopened on the weekend.
