Check-in was very efficient and friendly. We stayed at two sites (174 and 208) in Mather due to availability, traveling in a campervan. The sites were both clean, had good distance to the adjacent sites. They were clean, well kept, included campfire ring and picnic tables. Both were close to the clean, well-lit restroom facilities. We were with our 8 and 10 year old granddaughters and their mother and her partner. We hiked Bright Angel partway with the granddaughters and to the first rest stop after they turned around with one kf the adults. We all loved the hike, which had wide, safe, well-maintained surfaces. We also walked the rim walkway and stopped at a few overlooks, including Mather. The shuttle bus system was prompt, ran frequently, and was very helpful. The camp store was well-stocked with groceries, firewood, and camp necessities at reasonable prices. The Maswik Food Court, Arizona Steakhouse, and ice cream shop all provided good food choices at pretty good value. Staff could not have been kinder or more helpful wherever we went, and showed their pride in this iconic park.

Convenient to get to and the description of each site is generally accurate and helpful, especially when letting us know which side the RV sliding door would face. Our site wasnt level and it wasnt stated in the listing (unlike other sites) but wasnt too big a deal. The sites are quite close together though, so there was a group having a late dinner / party until 11pm and i could easily hear them from the inside of my vehicle. Washrooms are alright. Area has tree shade so while it wasnt hot in the day, do factor it in for RV solar power as the site has no hookups

Great stay here! Big campsites with pull thru spots and clean restrooms.

Most campsites are spacious. Bathrooms are well kept. Make sure to bring something that will provide some shade

The table was under direct sunlight with no tree for shade. A ramada-like cover would have been nice to cook in the shade as it was pretty hot. I realize that takes money. And I realize that's just part of the camping experience.

This campground was great! Even with neighbors all around us, everyone was super respectful of quiet hours. The bathrooms were just a short walk up a paved path. The trees provided great shade.

Staff was great about finding us a different campsite closer to bathrooms. Clean bathrooms and spacious campsites. Disappointed showers were unavailable.
