Campsite was a little rocky. The sink didnt work by the bathroom we were at. But other than that it was a well maintained campground.

Great campground. We were able to get a good spot, close to a bathroom on the same day we arrived, but this was the off-season. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only problem we had was crows getting into a styrofoam cooler when we drove off to see the sunrise, but that was entirely our fault. Shower were not available because of the broken water main. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

Excellent campground. Restrooms were good. There could be a few more signs helping you find the campground but with internet directions it isn't hard. Elk were in the campground but didn't come to our site. Keep your site clean so they don't eat any garbage. The shuttle stop by the campground is nice. However, you may want to walk to the previous stop even though it is little farther. There are shuttles going in both directions at that stop so make sure you catch the right one. That way you are more likely to get a seat before it gets to the campground stop at peak times. We enjoyed riding all the shuttle routes and stopping at every point and doing some of the hikes. We recommend staying 3 days if you have the time. Drive to Desert View Tower one day. It is worth the trip.

I spent 5 nights at Juniper Loop, in a rocky unmaintained campsite. It was really cold and one night I put everything in the tent and slept in the car. Much better. The nearest bathroom had 3 toilets; one was leaking, another had a loose toilet seat while the third extremely small stall while working well, looked like there were feces smeared on the wall. I alerted the ranger at the entrance of Mather but he said maintenance was slow. The toilets were never fixed while I was camping. I found another bathroom in the loop that was much cleaner and the stalls were wider. It is better to hard camp, then soft camp at this park due to the close proximity of each site to the other, the noise and the cold in April.
The ravens were fabulous to watch. And, the canyon is beyond words to behold.

The campsites were wonderful. It was natural foliage, easy to get in the sites, wildlife abundant. The only complaint is the $2.50 for 5 minute shower. I expected to pay for laundry but not a shower! Had a wonderful time. The shuttle busses were amazing and easy to use.
Staff was very helpful in answering our questions. The campsite held 4 seperate 2-person tents and accomodated 2 vehicles easily which would of allowed us to only reserve one campsite. Not a huge deal but it was very busy there so I hate to take up an extra spot for no reason. Restrooms and water access did the job!

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
