Clean, well maintained campground. Easy check in. Nice paved internal roads and sites, each with a fire ring / grill and picnic table. Clean dump station and potable water fill area. Showers and laundry looked clean and well maintained but we didn't have to use them. Sites are adequately spaced for privacy. Public restrooms throughout the campground were clean and well maintained. Great proximity to all Grand Canyon areas. We will stay here again should we return in the future.

Mather Campground-Juniper Loop- site #180 is amazing. Perfect amount of shade & sun and close to the water, bathrooms and dumpster (but not too close). The campground is also close to the grocery store and many of the lookout spots/hikes. It is also incredibly clean and the staff are very helpful & kind. We will be back to Mather in the future.

We were in site Juniper 180 for 5 nights in mid March. Site was a pull through. Great site, good amount of space between sites, lots of trees. Bathrooms were clean and warm on the chilly days. Site was close to bike trail. Non electric loop so some generators were heard during generator hours and most observed the time frame. Shower house was ok. $2.50 for a 5 minute shower. Water was hot, pressure was so-so depending on the shower. No biggie as we were not here for the showers! The proximity to the Grand Canyon is the best feature. Buses were easy to access across the campground entrance. Would definitely stay again!

Every National Park Service employee from the entrance to the exit was helpful and friendly. The information we received was accurate and up to date. The toilets were clean and well stocked. The shuttles were on time. The shuttle drivers drove safely and were polite. Our neighbors in the campground were quiet and courteous. The campsite was pretty clean but prior occupants had been thoughtless at times with litter. We picked up much of the debris. Perhaps more emphasis could be placed on leaving the campground cleaner than you found it upon checking in. Our National Parks are a matter of pride. We must cherish them so we always can return.

Wonderful campground, lot of shade, nice spacing for privacy, and very peaceful. Best part are the deer and elk, they were through the camp every day.

Campsites very good. I will be filling out the comment form and attaching a letter to the Park Superintendent regarding the unsanitary, unsafe , inconvenient circumstances found at the Rv dump and water fill . I made similar comments last year, conditions were worse this year. Very disappointing for one of the nations premier camp grounds with numerous foreign visitors.

Mather campground truly is a wonderful place to camp. The sites are fantastic. They're private, for the most part, there's the perfect balance of sun and shade, there's easy access to the bathrooms if need be. Over the years, we have camped here at least three times and will continue to do so. Also, the bike paths around the campground are wonderful!

Excellent location within reasonable walking distance of the South Rim and camper services. Gets very busy, the far end of the campground is quietest.

Our site on Juniper Loop was perfect. We had open space behind the table and elk would walk through. We were close to two different comfort stations which was also helpful. I would recommend a site close to the main road as it is quite the walk to the entrance/showers/store. At arrival the rangers told us the showers needed quarters and there was a machine. This was incorrect, showers do need 10 quarters to run but the machines were broken. A woman had to count out change for each person, this took a lot of time and since the showers/laundry lock the doors promptly at 6, (last entrance is at 5:45) it was pretty chaotic starting at 5:30.

Nice campsite in the woods. Quiet. Showers are dated. Functional, but could really use an upgrade. But the +s of being at the Grand Canyon far outweigh the -s.

The price is very affordable. The campground is clean and quiet, and has a market place just 10 mins walk away. My family had a beautiful campfire party and enjoyed marshmallow s'mores prepared by my 7 year old daughter. It's a life time memory.

This campground was a destination in itself. We came with a smaller RV and would give up having hookups and very limited generator hours time and time again for this beautiful forrest campsite.

Only tip, please clean fire pit for new arrivals, ours was full of ash.

Can’t wait to visit again!!
