This was our 2nd trip to Mathers this year. It was our 1st time at site #150. It was large, fairly level, and had an abundance of elk passing through. A little hike to the restrooms, but they were always clean and you can enjoy the stars on the walk. The only negative we would give it is the fire pit is too close to the table. It makes it a little difficult if you want to put up a canopy or screen room over/around the table. Regardless, this will be our 1st choice site in the future. FYI...tight pull through drive. Will not accommodate all vehicles.

Campground was well kept and quiet, we had a wonderful time! We were in tent site 150 - lots of elk visitors during the day. Our site was a little far from the bathrooms, but not too bad. Gorgeous forest, short walk to the shuttles, good shade at the campsite. We loved it.

This is a picture perfect campground. The sites are large and well separated from the adjacent ones. The bathrooms were clean. The elk and deer wandering through made the experience a fantastic one. The bus stop outside the campground was extremely convenient. We absolutely loved being able to ditch the car and hop on and off the bus which came every 15 minutes. Be on guard for the crafty ravens! They patrol the campground looking for unattended campsites.

we enjoyed the experience of snow and the beauty of the Park itself. Restroom was farther than imagined but we made it work.We will come back.

Campground site was fine. Not a lot of flat space for tents, but workable. Be nice to have water more available.

Mather Campground was amazing. Very nice stay at the Grand Canyon. The workers and park rangers were very welcoming and helpful in the entire experience. Will definitely be coming back.

Very nice campsites, quite clean and far enough apart. Ample wildlife and daily visits from elk. Bike trails abound and it is an easy walk to the well stocked general store. Showers are available but only from 6:30AM to 12:45PM due to staffing.
