Sites are a bit close, no shade and people kept walking through the site (not the campground's fault) but signage to remain on the road and not cross into other people's sites would be good to add.

Campground in walking distance to visitor center and general store if you dont want to use the shuttle. Unfortunately no sidewalk to shuttle and services (showers, laundry), most people walk on the road.

We were in Grand Canyon National Park for 3 days with dogs. We were able to walk for miles on trails on the rim with the dogs. We did find elk hanging out in our campsite in the afternoons. Access to water faucets was limited. The closest water facet had a lock on it and the next closest was dripping and being used by the elk.

This is a beautiful campground! The bathrooms are immaculate and the sites are spread out. I only wish they had spots that had partial hookups for our camper. The elk are everywhere and what a treasure to see!

It is more than challenging to get campsites six months in advance at exactly 8 am when they become available, for a busy time like Memorial Day weekend, but the campground is terrific, spacious, wooded. The rim shuttles are not well coordinated, and waiting up to 3 shuttles for each the first leg and the rim itself is not uncommon--or up to 1 1/2 hrs to get going on the rim. There is little regard for ADA, and one stands in the blazing sun while waiting. Shuttle drivers seem uncertain about leaving seats unfilled, for prospective clients on the rim. But the Grand Canyon is grand, and all ages enjoy!

Great location, central to all sites at the Canyon. The only issue is that generator hours are 7-9 AM and 6-8 PM. We run our generator about 1 hour/day to recharge our batteries and would much rather run it during hours that people are away from their sites out enjoying the various activities. Why force me to run the generator while people are sleeping, preparing meals, or enjoying their campfires? These SHOULD be the quiet times instead of the times people are away from their campsites.

Amazing campsite. Clean facilities quiet, peaceful. Stars fill the night sky. Fully recommend.

great time to visit, end of October gets cold, bring warm clothes and bedding if you are going to camp, no crowds during the week

Nice older campground. Good location within walking distance of the Canyon and other services. There is also a Shuttle stop nearby.

Campground is great. Shower hours of operation are goofy. They were only open 6 a.m. to noon. Not real helpful after a day of hiking....
