We had a beautiful spot not too far from the restrooms. The restrooms were clean but did not have a soap container at the sink. Other than that, the campground was lovely. We saw some elk grazing two spots over.

I loved this campground. It had great amenities and the location was fantastic. You can hop on the greenway right from the campground. The visitor center is 5 minutes away. The campground was really pretty with lots of trees. This is where I will always stay when I go to the Grand Canyon.

Site assigned (#23) was VERY small and difficult to park a RV, even when I requested at 30' space. Very dissapointed.

I had a GREAT time at Mathers campground in the Grand Canyon. I camped with my Ford-F250 and Flying Cloud Airstream in the Juniper section, site #123. It was a tight fit but everything worked out great. I had my two dogs with me and my site was plenty large enough for them to enjoy themselves. I will be back again for a longer stay with my wife. Great hiking, great views. This was one of the best trips for me

This is a beautiful campground. We enjoyed a great walk to get to the Rim Trail although there is a shuttle bus available. The Grand Canyon is beyond amazing to see!

Stayed in site 123. Drinking water and Dump station available. Would be nice to have 2 dump stations to reduce wait time.

The campground was great. We had trouble with one of the rangers who told us we couldn't have two vehicles. So the first time he stopped we thought our camper and truck must count as two vehicles. When we made the reservation we intended to register for the camper plus two vehicles. We moved the car to the main parking lot. The next day we went for clarification or to register the second vehicle and found out we already had. We moved the car back up to our campsite the same ranger came back and told us we were in violation again. That was a little frustrating but other than that it was a great stay.

Very clean and well laid out.My only complaint is that they were unable to extend my stay because they were fully booked

The check-in process was easy and the spots were wooded yet easy to get into with our 18ft trailer. The walk or drive the rim of Grand Canyon wasn't too long. Water and toilets were available in the campground and sewer and water was available at the campground entrance. It was pretty windy and cold--it even snowed in early April--so, be prepared!

Very nice environments.
However, need some repairs and expansion on the paved roads of camp sites.

Perfect for public camping at the Grand Canyon. We landed in a beautiful place, and it's was very convenient.

Campground as expected EXCEPT showers and laundry close at 1pm for the day. Not very helpful after a long sweaty hike. Plenty of elk to see at campground. Bathrooms decent.

We camped in site 123 on the Juniper Loop. Next to us were two adjacent campsites with a large group of people from Washington and California who must have been on a family reunion trip judging by the noise level. They were extremely loud with barking dogs and approximately 10 screaming children. Shouldn't they have reserved a group site away from others? This was very annoying to us and others around them who were expecting a more peaceful camping experience. Better policing of this type of activity should be performed by campground personnel.

Beautiful campground and very convenient location. Right near the market and an extremely close drive or walk to the rim and the shuttles.
