Great sites, clean restrooms. Easy access to shuttle busses. Lots of room between sites, very quite at night. Lovely elk wandering around.

We loved the Mather campground! The proximity to the shuttles was great. There was plenty of a mix of shade & sun, which made sitting at the picnic table very comfortable. The paths to the bathrooms were precarious, due to the uneven services. We stayed at site #87. The staff checking us (a woman) was very friendly, efficient and informative. Thank you! great price and great site, overall!

Mather campground is amazing. It's a quiet, clean, well-keeped campground with great camp hosts and rangers. I've camped there about 10 times and have made friends all over the world that still keep in touch. It's a safe place to leave your truck and stuff when you do a rim-river over night. Can't say enough about Mather campground and the whole Grand Canyon experience. I go 4 times a year...it's that good. A+++

The campsite was clean, spacious and well maintained. It was surrounded by trees and plants that increased the privacy. The roads were in great condition as we're the bathrooms.

Excellent, quiet campground. The park is very busy and crowded, which is to be expected at a big national park, but we prefer smaller campgrounds much like many of the National Forest campgrounds. Mather had that feel, good separation between units, lots of trees, and easy access to the rest of the park. Good bike trails were very close, so we could easily get around. Central water as well for filling up our rig. Relatively level paved sites, some with good solar, some are shaded.

Beautiful campground and friendly staff. Showers could do with a renovation. Awesome place to camp when going on a hike in Grand Canyon. Take a free bus from the campground to the trailheads.Make sure to look up at the many stars you can see out here at night as there is not as much "light pollution" as in the cities.Other campers were quite friendly as well.
