The campground is great, cleanliness and amenities are perfect.... However the "WALK-UP" open campsite process is TERRIBLE!!!absolutely terrible! There should always be a few site that are "Walk-up" only! And you should be able to stay longer than 1 night! It is ridiculous that you have to keep coming up to the campground everyday, in hopes of getting a "walk-up" site, and then potentially having to move sites, or leave...How can you plan or do anything being in "limbo" on where you will stay.I understand reservations are important, but the national park system, should also be open and accessible for folks who can't always plan ahead but still have access to the national parks for impromptu adventures!

Not much level ground for tenting. Infrastructure old and not in very good shape, especially washrooms and showers.

The Rangers were fair however i believe they need better supervision. I was confused as to where to park as well as the paper with the directions was of poor quality.

Stayed at site HA1, which is a horse site, but it was the last site available. It is on a incline and nothing is marked, and no way to park off pavement (oh well, that's camping). The website says hot showers available. Make sure you bring plenty of quarters, because maybe the coin machine works, or maybe it won't. Also the showers are open from like 7am-7pm, not 24hrs/day.

Loved our stay here and wish it had been longer. We stayed in the horse camp and Ell came to visit us every morning and evening. Our site was very private and in close proximity to bathroom facilities which were clean. We would stay again.

The campground is in a perfect location and with the bus service right outside it was very convenient.

The camp ground was clean and quiet, and close to a bus stop.

This is such a beautiful campground with comfortable and private sites, good bathrooms and great location. You can easily take off on trails that lead to the rim or other areas of the park. Elk roam freely all over the campground! Make sure to wake up and catch sunrise from the rim!

The campground was nice, but the Ranger in charge was extremely unfriendly. We were constantly given the feeling that we are doing everything wrong and that we are not welcome. That shouldn’t be the case on vacation.
But the Nationalpark and the canyon is beautiful!

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
