Great place, everything is very close and the bathrooms are right on one side.

Nice campground in the middle of the park when you want to hike early. Nice staff, well maintained amenities (showers (bring $2,50 in quarters or change it there), toilettes, drinking water, fire pits etc.) but the spaces are close by each other and privacy might be a bit of an issue.

Campsite was easy to access, clean and roomy; we felt very safe. First time at Grand Canyon and it exceeded expectations. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Neighboring campers were friendly and respectful of privacy. Quiet hours were observed and, in general, people respected wildlife and kept at a respectful distance. One time at one of the overlooks at the South Rim people went beyond the fencing to get closer to elk; I suggested that they should maintain a distance and they did so, but perhaps more obvious signage at viewing areas (Do not approach wildlife; stay behind fencing/barriers. This is their home, not ours, etc.) may help protect these and other animal inhabitants of Grand Canyon.

Great location closest to the bathroom. Slightly angled for tents. Morning sun on the table was nice. The pull thru was narrow and less than 2 feet off the road but still fine. Only issue was someone let an rv with generator in to this loop and it was loud all day and night. Some other site in another loop was running their old diesel truck for hours and it smoked out all our sites so we had to leave our tent early in the morning and move to breathe.

The rangers at check-in are incredibly kind. If you don't have a reservation and the campground is full when you arrive, trust the sign. It's full. FC/FS open up at 8:00 am, but best to be there at 7:30 to get in line for a space.

The area, the sites, the forest are all great. The only issue could be the pay shower was too far.

The campground was pristine and walking distance to the Grand Canyon rim. The walking paths were beautiful and it was nice to have the bus service to get back. There were plenty of big trees throughout the campground, plenty of open space in-between site, and the bathrooms were well-maintained with flushing toilets, sinks, soap and a mirror. We saw elk wandering about 3 times during our 5 day stay there! My only complaint were the loud hand dryers in the bathroom.

The campground is decent, about as expected given the popularity of the Grand Canyon. Campsites are pretty small.

Biggest complaint: whatever happened to common courtesy and campground etiquette of not walking through other's campsites? Had at least ten people walk through our campsite literal feet from where I was sleeping.

But it's a fine campground and other's discourtesy is no fault of the campground or park employees. Too bad the public can't seem to figure out how to be respectful.

Enjoyed the views of the Grand Canyon. My children did the Junior Ranger, which help keep them busy. Camping was enjoyable and peaceful.

I had the best camping experience at Mather camping ground.

Nice, not too crowded sites with adequate restrooms. Showers have always been a problem here - only open certain hours (never long enough) and due to COVID more closures.

This was a lovely place to camp. We were near restrooms and
Our site had shade and sun. It was pretty level and had great drive through parking.

Great CG. Well organized. Spotless restrooms. Elk in camp in the morning!
