There was a camp fire ban so I didn't experience the camp fire situation but hopefully next time I can do that.

Mather campground was great! Really convenient for seeing the South Rim, especially for sunset/night/sunrise photography bc its a quick 4-7 minute drive to great overlooks, particularly Yavapai Point! Nice clean campsite with good space and a clean bathroom.

Wonderful campground. Great location, very easy check-in process, clean amenities, allowed campfires (at least in march). I believe the dogs are allowed, but please check in advance. We just saw a few with campers. RV and campers are also allowed.Reservation was done through Recreation.gov

The campground was fantastic! It was better than I expected, although it has been some time since I've been camping. Renting a bike to ride out to Yaki Point was an amazing journey. It was only trumped by walking the rim trail out to Hermit's Rest. Thank goodness for the shuttle busses on the way back!

Enjoyed that it was quiet. Thank you for not allowing generators!
Bathrooms were clean and well stocked.
Plenty of space and super convenient. I wish we had booked more nights

Beautiful campsite! Plenty of trees and clean bathrooms. My only wish would be free showers

We visited Thanksgiving weekend and boy oh boy was it cold! But it was a nice surprise to see wall heaters in the restroom. Kept us nice and warm when we did our business. Also, no cold seats! The campsite overall was very clean and very organized. The most clean site Ive ever stayed. Its a 2 min drive to the market, a 4 minute drive to the visitor center where we took the shuttle to hike Bright Angel Trail. A drive away to catch the sunrise in Mather Point (get there EARLY).

Love Grand Canyon. Relatively quite. Had deer and elk wander through. Easy access to the rim. Not built for RVs of any kind. Tight turns and narrow road.

Nice, clean campsite with great bathroom and other facilities. Awesome location close to many park attractions, and also there is a shuttle stop at the front of the campground that makes it easy to get to anywhere in the park.

A very clean and easy to follow campground (pine loop). Would come back again. Clean bathrooms and good areas for tents and fire pits are well designated.

Mathers campground suited my needs well: a quick drive to trailheads, access to shuttles, clean bathrooms, and coin operated laundry and showers. The site itself was plenty spacious for my car and tent.
