Getting reservations can be tough if you aren't booking way ahead of time. But we set an alert, booked an open campsite and were in. They are really understating the length of rig that can accomodate a site. We took a site listed as 21', ours is 24' with bikes on the back and it could have handled probably a 30' rid (pull through). The next day I showed up at 7:30 am to get one of the few FF sites. I was fourth in line and I think they have 18 such sites. We had to move, but no big deal. The ranger at the check in station was very accomodating!

We stayed @ site 235, first come, first serve site. The ground has restrooms with running water & the showers are next to the ranger station. The rangers were nice and informative. The sites are clean and people respected quiet hours. The park’s shuttle service has a stop near the ranger station, which made getting around the park enjoyable (not so much during peak hours later in the day). The night sky is nice. Would love to stay here again.

Very nice campground. Great site and facilities (restrooms were very clean). Even had some elk walk through casually about 30 yards from us. Our time spent here was great. Not too busy on a Sunday and Monday. A Hike down into the Canyon, even just to the 1.5 resthouse was a great experience but definitely a bit strenuous and hot. The visitors center had a lot of information on the hiking options and what to expect. The bus ride out to hermit's rest was a good way to see a lot of different viewpoints. Biking options in the park looked nice as well if you'd prefer to bike around.

I just love the place and the wild life was just wonderful. I even heard wolf puppies howling. Cute little fellas..
