The campgrounds were beautifully maintained and felt very safe, the bathrooms were pristine, and the drinking water was easy to locate! Park rangers are active and around for help.

Great campground with plenty of room and very quiet. Plus its easy to get to the rim on a bike, walking, or in your car.

Such a wonderful time camping at Mather! Beautiful scenery, the odd family of deer wandering through camp. Very clean and tidy toilets, even showers and laundry if you're sweaty after a long day of hiking. The roads throughout the campgrounds were being repaved during our stay, and the construction crew were great, no long waits for passing through at all. Fantastic stay and can't wait to come again

We enjoyed our stay at Mather Campground, we had reservations for 2 nights and then we were able to get a first come, first served, third night moving to another pull through site which fit our 20 ft vehicle perfectly. Access to information was excellent, services were great. We found the campgrounds clean, but the roads and walkways need some improvements, to lessen the risk of a fall. Pretty good potholes and broken pathways.

We stayed at Mather Campground with a 25 feet RV and found it a great place to sleep, surrounded by the trees and in short distance with RV or bus to all places. As really experienced hikers we did the South Kaibab - Phantom Ranch - Bright Angels Trail in one day, it was amazing, but can only be recommended to the most trained visitors. Restaurants should be reserved in advance.

Beautiful campground. Our spot was flat enough where our trailer had very little movement! Loved that we were too crowded with camping neighbors. We loved walking and riding the bike paths around from our campground! Would love to stay again!

Neighbors showed up during quiet hours and kept me and wife up for a while with air mattress filling and noisy chatter. But camp neighbors are like your nose, you can’t pick em… The campground is great, clean, and refreshing in the pines.
We were surprised to find a small trailer site available on Tuesday for a weekend trip. And given the sites are only $18 per night, you can’t go wrong!

Use the shuttle bus system! It is so convenient! Come prepared, there is a grocery store at Market Plaza but it is NOT cheap. This is a great park and worth your time to come visit. I was highly impressed with the Mather campground.

Decent size camp site. Nicely wooded. We saw elk wandering often throughout campground. Bathrooms were clean. Close to market that sells all necessities. Check in was a bit annoying with walk-in taking a lot of unnecessary time.
