Ill tell its medium. Theres the noise of the close road and I were far from the restroom. Showers are only at the entrance (too far) and not clean enough

Check in was super easy. The campsite was perfect and beautiful, but near a road so it did get a little noise at night. We really appreciated the free table and scored some fuel we needed for the trip and then were able to leave it again for someone else! We came in April so it did get down to 20 degrees at night. Would stay here again in warmer temps.

We were so impressed by the massiveness of the National Park. Obviously, we knew intellectually that the Canyon itself would be huge, but we didn't expect that we'd not have to leave the park for anything at all during our stay. It was so convenient to use the park grocery store, restaurants, and shuttles. Mather was beautiful and quiet, with a great view of unpolluted starlight. We woke to friendly deer grazing every morning!

Overall the campground was well maintained and organized. I stayed at site 161 in the Juniper Loop because it was the last one available while booking. If you have more options, I would choose another site that is more convenient to the restroom/water as well as to the shuttle stop. This site is also quite close to the main road so there was a lot of traffic noise and headlights throughout the night.

Campsites had plenty of space and still gave us space from neighboring campsites. Be aware of the site you select as the restrooms were located on only one side of the looping road. The campground is central to everything. We were able to go to the store, village, and visitors center easily. This was a plus when we went to the Stargazing with a Ranger and were able to return to our camp in just a short drive. Since it was our first time to the Grand Canyon we made the drive out to the East Entrance and stopped at each viewpoint coming into the visiter center and then west including the shuttle road out to Hermit's Rest. The experience was amazing.

The campsites were nice and the bathrooms were clean. The only problem was the showers closing 2 hour earlier than they’re supposed to

This was our first trip to the Grand Canyon. We camped. We enjoyed our visit and want to return. I wish I had done more research before our trip so that I had fuller knowledge of the amenities, activities, lodging, and restaurants at the park.
