Nice, clean and quiet. The distance to neighbours could be better, but it's not too bad. Overall good campground.

Really solid campgrounds. The sites aren't as packed in as many I've seen, but they are still fairly close to other campers. That just means that if you happen to end up near someone noisy and disrespectful, you happened to have bad luck. We were not lucky! But that is not a reflection of the campgrounds themselves. They do allow alcohol, so some noise can be expected. For the most part everyone/everything in the campground was amazing. The water was great. The bathrooms were great. Having the shopping center nearby was awesome. Almost all the people knew campground etiquette and respected everyone. The shuttles were great. Every employee of the park we met was awesome.

One of the best-equipped campgrounds I've slept at in a National Park. The restrooms have power outlets for you to charge your devices, and all sites are within walking distance of a well-stocked supermarket while at the same time feeling wild (you can't see or hear traffic or other people from your site). You are also within walking distance (a mile or two) from the Bright Angel trailhead, if you want to start hiking before sunrise and don't want to complicate your experience by using the free park shuttle.

Tucked away at the back of one of the many camp ground loops, this quiet spot provided the basics. There is a bathroom with running water a short walk away, a firepit, and a semi-parking spot.Parking was the only awkward piece. It didnt seem like a real spot as its simply a carve out of the main loop road and not a pull-in or driveway style.Other than that, its a decent walk to the bus stop and visitor center. We drove there.Wont be afraid to book again!

We had an amazing time at this campground!! Having flushing toilets, running water, and showers made the trip much better for a group of teenaged girls! (Another review said the showers were free, but they are $2.50 for 5 minutes, which require quarters. There is a machine to get coins that will take only $1 or $5 bills.) The campground was clean, the other campers were quiet, and it's so close to everything we needed. We would definitely recommend Mather and stay here again! Thanks!

Centrally located and beautiful view. I seemed to have only space with street parking as opposed to drive in parking. Difficult to locate showers and trash receptacles. Definitely recommend advance reservations - late check in not a problem at all.

I absolutely loved this camp site and experience! It was incredibly beautiful to have the elk just a few feet from our tents and everything being so close to each other! Definitely makes me want to go back again!
