We camped at Mather Campground, it was a wonderful experience...... I was fully expecting to pay high prices in the grocery store that was in the park, and to my surprise the prices were very good. I was very impreseed.

It was quiet, fairly spaced out, had bathrooms with flushing toilets, showers nearby (although we didn't use, so I don't know how they were), Elk visiting the grounds, close to attractions

First trip to the Grand Canyon and I am so happy we decided to stay within the park. So conveniently located near the amenities (store/food services) but yet you still feel like you are out and away from the crowds who visit the park. Sites are clean and pretty large. I wouldn’t say you have privacy but you have lots of space. The bathrooms were clean but no hot water. They do have potable water for drinking that was really good. Oh! And we saw mule deer, elk an owl and heard coyotes! The stars were worth a mention too! It was a great two days

Camp spots were nicely spread out so you didn’t feel like you were camping right next door to strangers. Bathrooms were kept clean and well stocked including soap in soap dispenser. Located close to the markets and villages and since not all shuttles we’re running it was also close to drive to areas where you could park and pick up a shuttle. Campground was quiet and offered shade in some spot which was important as the week we were there it was almost 100 degrees on the rim.

It would be nice if the showers were open. I have had both my Covid shots for some time now. Perhaps allow people who have taken the vaccine?
