Nice and close to the rim. Shuttle service stops right at the campground. Make sure to bring lots of quarters for showers.

Nice and rather silent campground (oak loop). The restrooms needs some makeovers but were technically clean. Good connection to the village via the blue shuttle bus line

The campground was cleaned and restroom was fairly stocked. The only thing that negative was the staff was rude.( white male) driving a white pickup truck. His demeanor was authoritative. His sound of tone an angry individual. He definitely needs more training on how to deal with the customers especially we are the One that pays his salary.

Location was excellent, staff was very helpful considering ever FF arrival in the afternoon. $18 in a National Park was amazing. Next time well plan more in advance to assure a spot.

We enjoyed our stay at Mather campground very much. The campsites are dispersed enough that you don't feel crowded. The area was well maintained. Our site was big enough for our teardrop trailer as well as our Livingroom tent.

Excellent campgrounds, the deer local to the site are very cool to see walking around. The sites where spacious and clean. Restroom was also clean and close by.

The campground was nice, but the restroom lights were very bright, therefore making it difficult to see stars at this dark sky site. Perhaps some downward pointing lights or a a type of shield to deflect the lights from the windows.

We had a nice campsite that was quite and fairly near the restroom. Note that vehicle dimensions are important-parking trailers with slide outs can be challenging in some spots! Beautiful Memorial Day weekend with great weather and lots of visitors to the park made it extra fun.

I was I site 258. It is a big site. The problem with the site is the parking place is just a wide spot in the road. Your vehicle is inches from people driving by. I do not recommend this site

The place is great and has nice facilities However 1. Showers & laundry are slightly too $$$2. The rangers at the check In werent nice at all! Condescending and not helpful when I asked where the dump point was. Literally the ranger told me he doesnt know as he doesnt use it!! Shame on them !!

The campground pitches were spacious but as the weather was so cold many taps were not working including the potable by the waste water disposal

Came in from Lees Ferry without a reservation and were able to get a FCFS site for 3 nights. The Ranger at Camper Services was great in working with us to find a site for our 23' trailer. Amazing hiking and cool having the elk walk through the sites each day. Love the canyon!

We bought a new 25 class C motor home and took it up to Mather campground to see how everything worked and to get out of the Phoenix heat. We stayed in the Oak loop which was sparsely occupied. It was a very quiet area. We had a very enjoyable 5 day stay.

The overall experience was very good. The only downsides were that the parking pad (pull-through) was in pretty rough shape with broken chunks of asphalt and that we were near the restrooms in Oak Loop. There are very bright light shining all night through the building's windows and that took away much of the opportunity to view the night sky. Access was good, shower and laundry facilities and dump station provided the amenities we needed during our stay. Would return to this campsite with more attention to fully illuminated buildings.

Fabulous campground right in the park. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that our campsite asphalt was terribly broken. It was hard to get our relatively small (B+) motorhome on the asphalt because the edges were broken away. This made it very difficult to level the motorhome. Other than that, welove the campground and convenience of being close to everything.

The campground was great. Lots of space between campers but Reserve America is a joke. We planned our trip around dates that were available on the reserve America website. On the website all of the sites were booked but in real time about one half were vacant. Seems to me like there could be a better system.

We had a great time at Grand Canyon. The Rangers, fellow campers and support staff where all friendly. Great beer selection at the market. Yavapai lodge bar/patio was a great find late in the afternoon after a long day of exploring all that the south rim had to offer. Awesome.

This is a very nice campground, well-suited to RV, trailer and tent camping. We especially loved the water available from the spigots in the campground. Elk roam freely and visit the campsites occasionally.

The Grand Canyon is wonderful and the camp ground is nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is in need of repairs and it is not patrolled very well. There are severe fire restrictions and many people had fires going.
