I liked an excellent laid out campsite and clean restroom with an electrical outlet. Not a long distance from the Grand Canyon rim. Very happy with the campground.

The site was large and had everything we needed with the Camp Services. Conveniently located to the market Plaza and shuttle stops. Located right on the Greenway was an added bonus! We walked, hiked the rim and hammocked around the campsite when not playing games and cooking SMores. A terrific first camping trip for our grandson!

One of my favorite sites to stay. Forest feel with a view. Lots of wildlife and it was quiet. Only concern would be navigating a large rv in there at night. Lots of turn offs for sites. It was difficult to tell what was road and what was a site entrance.

We like Mather Campground a lot. The campsites are nice. It's convenient to the shuttle stop to go other places in the park.

Two elk-a mom and her baby-graced the campground just as we arrived,

Our experience here was a good one. My only complaint is the pre determined generator hours. 7-9 am did not work very well for us! We are retired, so we don't get up at the crack of dawn anymore! We barely got any morning generator hors in. During the evening, the times were fine for us.

Nice park to stay with an RV, in the nature. Good laundry facility's. The showers en toilets were not clean en broken, so we prefer to do that in de the RV. There is a shop nearby and the shuttle service brings you to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Campground was as expected. What was a surprise was the aggressive and unfriendly behavior of the female volunteer allowed to operate a golf cart and harass campers. The young lady who interrupted our dinner to point out one of the tires on my truck was 1 foot off the pavement and threatened to force me to park in the overflow lot if I didnt move it was not appreciated or expected. She didnt even greet us or welcome us to the park. It ruined our evening and negatively impacted our visit. When I appealed to a ranger he told me the vehicle location was fine and I should disregard the threats of the volunteer. Unfortunately , her actions had already done damage. I suggest better training for people who have contact with visitors or close supervision.

Nice campsite but pull-through on the left is a bit inconvenient. No internet or phone except in the village by the hotel, which was convenient. Generator hours could be adjusted a bit. Some neighbors ignored the rules. I could get some solar. Overall, very good.

Nice place for camping and close by General stores. There is no electric outlet, plan accordingly.

Showers were not open due to COVID-19. Bathrooms were about a 5 in regard to cleanliness. The general store has pretty much everything you could need. The site are easy to find and well marked. I really appreciated the fire pit and table at each site. It was crowded but definitely well spaced out.

We had a wonderful experience staying in Mather Campground. It was close to Mather Point and the Visitor Center where we could catch the shuttles to witness incredible views of the Grand Canyon and experience sunset at Pima Point. We loved the wooded location that Mather Campground provided. The check-in process was easy and the dump site and water station was close and very accessible. Between campground spaces is a bit of green space so you don't feel so crammed in the campground and don't be surprised to come out of your tent or trailer and find a few elk nearby. So amazing!
