I have been to the Grand Canyon 4 times in 33 years, always almost immediately descending into the canyon. Not this time. I stayed in Mather Campground for 3 nights, and it was a very pleasant experience. The campground was immaculate as was the bathroom. Site was level and everyone was very pleasant. I have plans to come back soon!

The place was beautiful. It is the Grand Canyon after all. The camp grounds were very nice. The have amenities such as showers, which cost $2.50 in quarters. And Laundry which also uses quarters. I had hoped to make use of both of those amenities, but I didnt bring any cash at all. How dumb of me. Dont make that mistake. They do not have a credit card option for those things. You can however use the atm in the market. I however didnt bring my debit card. Dont be like me. Very nice place though.

Everything was great except having to use quarters for showers. Very clean campsite and beautiful hikes nearby.

Great place to stay! In the heart of everything at the Grand Canyon. Clean bathrooms with available showers and laundry facilities.

This is such a wonderful campground. We stayed here before and after our rim-rim hike. The temperature was cooler then in the canyon so it felt good. Beware the showers are open 6-11ish? We never got a shower while there. Sites are huge and plenty of shade . Also beware of the crows, they are savages for anything food related

Quiet, clean, well organized. Close to everything. Essential with the blue line closed.

This campground, with its spacious sites and beautiful sweet forest, was wonderful to stay at!

Showers were closed which is not good after long days of hiking and no where to clean up.

Registration on opening day and couldn't even get 2 nights in a row on the same site, I had to pick up tent at 4am before catching shuttle to hike, then come back after long hike and set up camp for 2nd night at a different site. It was impossible to reach anyone to make changes before arriving and was suggested ranger would be able to make changes when arrived, however, when we checked in no one was willing to help us move around to a site we could stay 2 nights in a row.

Neighbors were loud and were completely oblivious of "quiet time"
The paved gravel section of where the car is parked could use some re-paving.
Location was close enough to the restrooms but not too close to where we felt the traffic.
