Quiet at night, clean bathrooms and convenient location to see the park. I have 21ft trailer. Bigger trailers can do it but it's tight in the campground roads.

Nice and private campsite next to the bathroom

The campground was beautiful. We were fortunate to get 5 nights in the campground. It was quiet and everyday Elk came through. It is conveniently located near the shuttle stop and bike path, which we used during our stay.

Good campground for all activities at Grand canyon NP. Also large CG - site 131 takes about 10 min walk to entrance/shuttle stop

Our site was large, the water was good, and of course the Grand Canyon was wonderful to see! We stayed at Mather for 6 nights and went to the rim 5 times. Our two dogs loved it too. The local elk kept them entertained.

Location is great with easy access to all parts of of the south rim, campsites had enough space, bathrooms were clean, and it was fun to wake up to elk roaming about the campground

Absolutely one of the best NP campgrounds I've stayed at. The Rangers were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
The park is gorgeous and the campground spotless!

There are so many great amenities in the park! We had a fantastic time as a family. The camp spot was spacious and guests were very considerate of quiet hours. The store nearby was helpful for purchasing a few souvenirs and other grocery items. Trails nearby were fantastic, as was the view. It was an incredible family vacation and I hope to go back someday!

Mather campground is a wonderful place to stay in Grand Canyon Park. We have a 21 ft camp trailer. We would much rather be in Mather rather than the full hookup RV park. Mather has no hookups, so you run off battery and your tanks. For a few days, that is fine. Mather is much more natural and "camp-like" instead of being a big parking lot where you are packed in like salami next to big motorhomes.
