Excellent campground as always - stay here at least once a year. As close to glamping as you get at a NPS campground!

This campground was awesome! Our fire pit and camp markings were in excellent shape. It was a reasonable distance to the bathroom and the stars at night were stellar. You're not super packed in, but you can see your neighbor. Even though its hot in July, it cooled down to a reasonable sleeping temp at night. Also, there is some tree coverage in this spot which is nice!Side Note: Despite the map, Mather's Campground is a ~35-40 minute walk to the South Rim Visitor Center.

Friendly and informative rangers. Clean bathrooms, clean sites. Neighbors got quiet by quiet hours. Easy access to store, restaurant, hiking, rim views, etc. Cozy and fun!

The only problem we had was that on the road behind our site they were doing some major construction which as very loud and a machine was delivered in the middle of the night which woke everybody up. So much for peace and quiet.

The campground is beautiful of course. The bathrooms could be cleaned more regularly

The sites are close but didn't feel crowded. Services are good & rangers were really helpful. We stayed a total of 4 nights, including a last minute night after hiking out from the river a day early. I would definitely return in the future.

Tent campers 🙂:
Great campground; clean, quiet and walking distance to shuttle bus stop , showers and market. The hosts, Bob & Mary, were terrific. Highly recommend.

As always, very clean and welcoming. I love camping over there; we have lot of space and can enjoy wildlife around us.

This is a very big campground that's well run, clean and at the heart of the park. Facilities are excellent and the only thing you need to keep an eye on is the ravens! Those birds are relentless and will take anything you leave unattended.

Lots of trees, providing shade and cover during heat spells & sudden summer showers. Elk & deer roam freely through the campsite. Great experience!

Had an awesome campsite on an outer loop with evening elk. And of course. The Canyon
