Just the perfect spot if you want to see all the stars and no light pollution what so ever!

Easy access to the site, lovely site surrounded by trees for shade and privacy. Plenty of space to set up a family table and campfire. The kids loved the bike trails too.

Nice campsite. Bit far away for walking to shuttle and store. The Juniper loop did not seem as nice as the pines loop.
Good place to stay and relax with family though!

Sewage dump area should be redesigned and rebuilt or relocated. No water to flush hoses so people use potable water hoses. No separation between dump hole and potable water.
Only one dump hole but space for two way traffic. Do not enter traffc sign prohibits dual lane use. All this causes long lines and long waits.

Bathrooms are heated and have flush toilets. Campsites are large and clean. The RV water fill up doesnt work and no one told us that. The closest fill-up is outside the park. Park rangers are nice and helpful. Lots of first come first serve availability. Even more elk.

Rude campground rangers at check-in. No quarters in the shower quarter machine. Muddy site from leaking water spout. Disappointing.

We familie Beerten from the Netherlands, stayed for 2 nights at Mather Campground. Every morning animals: Elk and birds came to drink, at a leaking waterpoint very near to our site. When the Sun is set, it's incredible dark and silent at the campground. I recommend everyone who wants to camp nearby the Grand Canyon to go to Mather Campground.

Top shelf operation. Arrived as the office was closing. They got me a great spot and let me settle up the next morning. Operating like the 1950s/1960s American I miss!

Campsite was awesome. The camp rangers were awesome. My only complaint is there is only 1 dump station for the whole campground and it was in disrepair.

We traveled to Grand Canyon NP in late November so our experience was pretty fantastic - no crowds, perfect weather and happy staff. The campground was near empty with plenty of room to move around without disturbing anyone.

Campsites are large and nicely spread apart. Plenty of trees for shade. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of water spigots around campground. Campground road is a little tight but did see some bigger rigs. Check site dimensions before booking. Easy access to paved walking/biking trail. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Great location. Campsite pavement was broken up with a stump right in the tire path of the pavement
