The campground was clean and relatively quiet. We did not stay long as we got up early to go backcountry. A perfect place to stay to get out early and into the canyon.

Campsites are well set up and spacious! Couldnt have asked for a better place to camp for the first time at the Grand Canyon.

Campsites are on top of each other, no privacy whatsoever. Bathrooms are really far away. I got lost at night trying to find my way back from the bathroom.

I really enjoyed my camping trip at Mather Campgrounds 17 thru the 21st of April 2022. The campground was full Sunday evening when we arrive but for the rest of my trip there were a lot of empty camp sites, it was pretty quiet in the evenings and during the night. The restrooms and showers were clean and the staff was very friendly. The campground is conveniently located, the shuttle stop was a few hundred yards from my campsite and the Market Place is about half a mile away.I recommend Mather Campground if you are looking for a place to camp and relax while visiting the South Rim.

It was great bathrooms close to campsites the showers hours a bit inconvenient but it is understandable because of the situation with the pandemic. It was awesome can't wait to go camping again using this site. Thank you
