Beautiful campground with plenty of space, freshly paved roads and good proximity to the South Rim, Market Village, Tusayan Lodge and more. All at a great price!

We spend the night here with our 1.5 year old, but wish we reserved more than one night! The campsite was beautiful and so quiet. The trees gave us the needed shade.

066 was a great site.Directly across from bathrooms.Arrived at 2000 hr, check in office was closed, but site had a "reserved sign" so no one had taken it.Very ample, camped in a long dually van, no issues pulling into/out of camp driveway. Site has fire ring and bench.10/10

WOnderful! Just perfect and there's a feeling of warmth and community as every campground starts preparing their fires for the evening. Don't forget to bring your guitar!

Surroundings are amazing, camping has great spots. Showers and toilets could be better, I am not a real camper, but a bit more privacy, me would like.

Site was lovely. Didn't see the campground host.

Repaved, most fairly level. Blow down from March storms still incompletely cleared but good progress. Bathrooms fairly clean. Trash (all trash/recycling is mixed- dont be fooled by the recycling triangles) was overflowing at times. Terrific campground otherwise. Lots of elk cows wandering about with occasional mule deer. A magical park and a good campground = outstanding experience. Very limited first come, line starts at or before 7 with window open at 8, and you only can get one night- need to wait again the next day with no guarantee to renew.

Know this location for over 30 years. Fabulous Place to be.

Amazing location just a short walk from the market and Yavapai Lodge. The sites are well paved but they appear designed for 25ft or less. Plenty of bathrooms which were clean and well heated in the winter. Outside dish sink was off for the season. One shower facility for the whole camp and oddly limited hours so be ready to wait in line. Showers are small and coin operated ($2.50) and only half were working to enforce social distancing. Really enjoyed our stay at Mather Campground. Large camping spots with nice roads. Enjoyed the trails that connected campground to other areas within park.
