Beautiful campground, super close to the visitors center with access to showers. Its very densely populated with campgrounds, so definitely not the place if you want privacy, but the stars were beautiful. The roads are paved, and each camp site has a close bathroom and a fire pit and picnic table. The bathrooms were clean, and had running water and flush toilets. One note is that you need to bring your own firewood- theres no firewood collection inside the campground.

Great campsite! Enough room for each tent, and nice and sheltered. Showers open late and toilets arent too far

Campground was clean and easy to navigate! We enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to the canyon, lots of easily accessible bike paths close to camp. Showers were fine. Tent parking pads can be small if you have a large vehicle - we had a half ton truck and it was fine but you wouldn't fit anything larger than that.

Nice campground to stay at. The campground is big, but campsites are well spread out. Elk wander through the campground regularly, unafraid of people. Bathrooms are relatively clean and the shower house is functional, with a sufficient number of coin-operated shower stalls so that we never had to wait.

We stayed in Pine 312 and the site was great. Lots of space and shade with minimal rocks. Trees perfect for hanging a hammock too. The bathroom at the start of the loop was heavily used and not very clean. This was the only downside. We would stay in the spot again.

Very comfortable and clean. Convenient and economical place to stay when visiting the Grand Canyon and good staging place for extended hikes.

We had a wonderful time at Mathers. The campground is in pristine condition. We were provided a bin for food items delivered to us and picked up after . This really saved us. The bathrooms were exceptionally well kept. I would suggest providing a place to put things down since most campers like to freshen up (wash your face, brush teeth) rather than make a full trip to the showers. A place to set down toothpaste or even your water bottle would make a big difference.
We only had to interact with one ranger/employee and she was super.
One of our best camping experiences.
Thanks Mathers.

Had a great time. Nice to see that ALL the restrooms were open this year. Only wish that the showers were open. oh well.

Great campsite with easy access to the south rim! The bathrooms were clean and close by and the sites were well sized with plenty of trees to provide shade and a place to hang a hammock.
