The campgrounds were very nice and clean. The bathrooms were also very clean. The general store and other necessities were close by. The shuttle service was very close to the campgrounds. I felt very safe at the campsite and it was an awesome experience!!

Campground is great but the showers were filthy, There was hair on the walls and on the floor so much of it you couldnt step anywhere without stepping on a clump of hair and one shower style I used even had a greasy streak, running down the wall. Also, the change machine shorted me and nobody seem to care

Campground is fine as always, but friends from Maine were with us and they stayed at Maswick Lodge where they paid the absolutely disgusting price of $400 for a night, and this didn't include any food. You can stay at an $80 motel and get a decent buffet breakfast included. Maybe the reason food was not included is the cafeteria at Maswick has food so bad both my wife suffered like stomach poisoning or 24 hour stomach virus and our guest's wife got ill too. We have stayed at Maswick some years back, the price was sensible and the cafeteria food decent. I know they want to make their money back for the renovation but they don't need to steal for the lodging and serve inedible food. We had 2 of the most horrible pancakes probably not even made there, but from frozen finished product and scrambled eggs that were like rubber, all nice and cold. What a shame for international visitors to get this taste of American Hospitality and Cuisine, especially if this is the first place they visit! Finally we all couldn't believe how many morons went over barriers to get their selfies at the very edge of rock. One couple had an infant and the grandparents along. There were mighty wind gusts that could easily have blown any of them over the rim. Even a tour group with a guide was seen crawling over barriers (not the guide). MORONS! And worse is this kind of people subject the emergency personnel to unnecessary danger when they need to rescue these idiots or get the corpse.I want to write the Director of National Park System and Grand Canyon Supervisor, but they have hidden their email addresses, for good reason I guess. But the folks running the parks need to do something about the beyond unreasonable lodging cost, the pitiful food quality and the brainless that go beyond barriers to get that "perfect" shot, which in most cases won't be one drop better than if they stayed safe!

Site 107 is first site in Juniper loop. If you can bare with lot of cars passing by you, I think it's a good spot to be at. Very close to the toilets and water. I also felt like it was one of the bigger campsites. Over all had good experience.

We had spot 107 on juniper loop. It was fantastic. A short walk to the bathrooms across the street, but not too close. We fit two 8 person tents and even a canopy. We had 4 adults and two dogs with us. It was a very dog friendly place with plenty of space to spread out. The showers up front were not my favorite but they got the job done at 2.50 for 5 minutes. The laundry was nice at 2.50 a wash and 1.25 to start on the dryer, I think we did 1.75 just to make sure. The general store is conveniently close in driving distance. Most things are priced as you would expect, with that slight convenience fee. I think ice was the largest price surprise at 5.29 for a small bag. Wood was 7.79 a bundle I believe, a little pricey however it was great burning wood. The pieces are on the larger side. We also utilized the grand canyon kennel and they were friendly and were good for a couple of days so that we were able to use the shuttles. There are a variety of camp spot sizes so definitely make sure to utilize Google maps, campsitephotos.com, and this recreation.gov site while planning what site is best for you.

Bus system nearby, showers a walk away, laundry. Only thing missing was a food truck and your glamping.

Great location. Camp is right by Yavapai Lodge and Tavern as well as Market & Deli so easy access to supplies. Site had laundry and showers which was nice. Showers are $2.50 and they have a change machine but wasn't expecting to pay for showers though. Other than that, I liked it.

Campsites is in a very good place, close to the shuttle and amenities. Staff at the registration desk are unfortunately sparky and unhelpful, which puts a damper on the stay.

Very nice campground with lots of elk within the facility.

The campground is well kept, the rangers were very informative. The crows are really active, you can barely turn your back on em! To be honest, it was entertaining. The showers being attached to the laundromat was very convenient. It would be nice if there was a table to fold clothes on. The listed cleaning times did not seem to be adhered to. Also the bathroom by my site had like .. really tall toilets. Odd.

Both nights were nice in two separate campsites. Second campsite in Pine Loop had a parking space that was extremely minimal compared to all the other campsites in the loop. This campsite parking area should be comparable to the others at least.

The views was phenomenal! The sites were beautiful, and the campground was incredible. Sadly, I can only review three stars because though I thoroughly prepared and planned for the trip, I was not notified that the showers were closed until arrival. After driving 25 hours, I was not very pleased to be informed that I would not have a real shower for the 7-day stay. We had to make the best of this, and it was clear that other campers were also unaware of this amenity being removed for their stay.

Beside the lack of showers, the campsite was wonderful. Elk welcomed us in the morning only feet away from our picnic table. The hiking was wonderful and we enjoyed ice cream a few days. Sadly, due to Covid we did not get to enjoy the steakhouse on the rim, but hopefully next time we visit! :)

Overall, I would make this trip again! I just really hope the showers are open and available - or that information is readily available so that I can plan accordingly! Last, the shop is pricey there, so I recommend purchasing groceries in advance.

Your greatest expense may be buying wood from the store if you don’t bring a gas burner. I recommend bringing one so that you don’t have to pay the $10 for a bundle of 4-5 small pieces.

I want to emphasize that this was a great stay, there are just some things travelers should prepare for to better their experiences!

Wonderful campsite with considerate neighbors. Ditch the car and walk to Market Plaza. Strange to have feet dangling while using the toilet.

Had a great stay! 10/10 would recommend. So close to the canyon rim, only a 10 minute drive to see sunrise. Nice sights that my toddler could run around and trees with shade for my dog.

Mather Campground is a muddy mess! Not only that but the visitors center and showers were closed. The nice thing is that it’s in the park at least. Otherwise pass on this one.
