It was great in general. The people camping there is different. They are noisy at different times, such as starting vehicles in the middle of the night. They mess up bathrooms. It is fill of paper and other easte in the mornings. It is just different type of people. I know you cannot do much about it. Otherwise a nice campsite.

Had a good one night stay. The sites are relatively large and offer space for tent setups etc. This campground has a shower which some members of my party used and were happy with. The restrooms are relatively spaced out compared to other NPS campgrounds I have been at.

I did not make a reservation. There were quite a few empty spaces. It took the agent forever to find me a spot and we have an 18 ft trailer that is easy to place. I think the on line system showed the campground was full. There seems to be a problem with no-shows. Maybe you should make sites non refundable.

Nice campground close to Grand Canyon visitor center. Theres some shade, but its close to the main road, which makes it quite noisy. Showers are $2,50/5 minutes.

Easy walk from campground to trail from Visitor Center to Kaibab point. Bright Angel Lodge has a great sit down bar with good food. Make sure you arrive before the train from Williams shows up, it gets really busy. If taking Red line bus to Hermits Rest get there early.

Love this place. Was a great place to rest and relax after hiking rim to rim.

Our campsite was great. When we got back at night we had company. There were 4 elk grazing around our site.

Mather Campground was great!! Friendly park rangers/staff, our lot was big and clean, and we saw lots of deer! Very close to the Grand Canyon as well. :) We can’t wait to go back next year!

Great experience, very quiet, overall clean (although we didn't use the public restrooms/facilities), beautiful nature. Very deserving 5 star rating.

Clean bathrooms, walking distance (little over a mile) to the rim of the canyon, campsites very nicely spaced out with trees. Recommend staying in the park since entrance to the park is congested with traffic delays.
