Beautiful campground with everything you need. Private sites, access to water and showers. Laundry available. Close to shuttle bus, visitor center and market with just about everything. We took the red route shuttle and had a great time, easy to use system. When leaving we drove the yellow route and stopped at Desert View. Beautiful drive. Elk everywhere at Mather Campground and the Visitor Center. Great place to camp.

Very large campground and nicely maintained. Will need the car to do things around such as taking showers.

Big spot. We had a 28.5 feet RV that was easy to fit. Would stay again.

We decided it was the perfect place to try out our new to us RV. The location was wonderful in the park. The sites are wonderfully spaced out, lots of trees, easy clear bathroom access. It is a perfect place to camp at Grand Canyon and would do again!

Large and shady campsites. Rangers Helped at all aspects of stay. We booked two more nights.

The Mather Campground was great. Super clean sites, great tree shading, sturdy pic Nic tables, clean fire pits. Well worth visiting!

The stay was great. Except the path to the bathroom was very rocky more than I've ever seen before on my stays. Two of my group each fell down once tripping on rocks sticking up. We found another bathroom and the trail was a little better. You had to "search" for water but eventually you came across it. I'll be camping there again.

Amazingly beautiful. One of God’s creations that is awesome to behold. It’s worth the trip to come see and experience. The campground is just right with large sites and well apart from your neighbors. The bike paths are wonderful and so safe. We love coming to this great spot..

Our site (84) in the fir loop was close to 2 sets of bathrooms. I enjoyed the trees and the more private feel to it. One thing I did not realize was that the showers would not be open during this time, so I walked all the way to the beginning of the campground only to find that out and then had to walk back. I know that you probably can find this information on the website, but when you're on vacation, you're not really checking websites often. Also, all the pamphlets that they give you in the park show the normal hours when there is not a pandemic. I think they should hand out a small paper with current information of what is open and closed. For example, we walked all the way to the blue shuttle stop only to learn it's not running. Those were the most frustrating experiences in the park.

Very nice and spacious sites. Love the wildlife here and scenery!

Great location right AT the Grand Canyon south rim. Pretty standard campsite (Fir Loop #84) and I was able to easily get my 26 foot motorhome in. No services at these sites, but if you're well prepared, who needs electricity!?
