Mather campground was very nice. The spots were well sized and adequately spaced. The staff was excellent. Shower and laundry facilities were fine. The location of this campground was excellent to surrounding attractions. Very busy, no open spots if you hope to stay longer.

Every ranger/staff person/garage worker was friendly and helpful. Use the buses - wonderful way to reach spectacular sections of the canyon.

Campground was great. Bus service was exceptional and really made exploring the south rim very easy!! Was disappointed that the visitor center was closed. The sunrise service on Easter Sunday was the high point of my stay. A once in a lifetime visit and I was not disappointed!!

The paving project and change of sites for our group created a lot of stress. Upon arrival the rangers were delighted to change the sites and put us in the Sage loop so we could be together. Forty two years in the books! We cant wait to return next year.Best Regards,Desert Adventures, Inc.

We did the first come first serve camp site and it was an easy process. The staff was helpful and the camp site was nice. I would do it all over again if I was unable to book prior to visiting the park.

I was so glad to get a camping site last minute. The Ranger was even able to get me a site with more sun to help charge my solar so I wouldn't need to run the generator that often. Great experience, great site!

There were over two dozen empty campsites when I walked in the evening and again at 6:15am the next morning and that was only two loops. However, the campground sign said full. People are just blowing off reservations and others are scrambling to find a site. There should be more first come first served. People make reservations too far in advance and don’t bother to cancel. Go back to the old way of first come first served. It works so much better.

Great campsite. Total lack of any enforcement of the rules. 4 large tents set up across from us with multiple cars parking behind our camper. Visitors center restrooms were beyond filthy. Make it easier on staff, clean up after yourselves and follow the rules. Campgound was convenient to all trails. Very wooded. Narrow roads, tiny sites. Read the description carefully!
