My stay at Mather was phenomenal, I woke up to some deer and elk at my campsite and they let me sit on a rock next to them while I had breakfast. The grocery store is within walking distance and the bus system is super handy. The showers are probably the biggest downfall but its tolerable for a quick wash up, a 5 minute shower is $2.50. The restrooms are nice and there are water stations scattered around. I stayed in Maple Loop, lots of trees and the sites are very large. Would totally return there again.

Lack of professionalism by staff and volunteers

The campground was clean and spacious. The wildlife was plentiful (several elk passed right beside our tent) The staff was pleasant and helpful.

bathroom upkeep was mediocre. the water pump access was not working near campsite. and was in other areas that would require driving to utilize. there was no sink on the outside of the bathrooms in our area either. not all sites are created equal when it comes to ammenadies. it will be better when shuttle services is back to full services. It was quiet and clean in the campsite.

Beautiful campground, away from the crowds, elk walking through in the morning, a wonderful getaway!

We had a great time at Mather Campground! Even though the campground was "full", there was still plenty of space between campsites, so it didn't feel like we were camping with our neighbors. In fact, my kids had enough space to run around and play hide & seek without even entering our neighbors' site!
