Clean organized well maintained campground in the GCNP South Rim area. Clean working heated restrooms. Mather Campground is the premiere value lodging option in GCNP South Rim Area.

One of the best NP campgrounds I've been to, sites are nice and spread out and there was more shade than expected! Bathroomswere large and relatively clean as well.Definitely recommend for beginner campers as there is a large market nearby in case you forget anything like I did!

Great small pull through camping spot with lots of trees. Close to the restrooms. Very close to the visitor center, general store and the park. Stayed three nights and had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay in this spot again.

Very nice campground. Clean bathrooms and showers. Yes, spots are very close together but pretty much everyone is there for the same reason so its pretty empty during the day. Nice and quiet at night. We stayed in the tent only area so there was no generators.

Great space with easy access to flush toilets, grocery store, post office, and many other amenities. Very busy campgrounds; kept clean.

Beautiful campground. Quiet and loved the Elk wondering through. A bit concerned about the sudden closing of the campground shower facility, but thankfully that was resolved. Showers were much needed.

Great campground, we did not have a reservation but there were plenty of spots. Very cold in the morning in mid-November. Good services, friendly rangers. Ask for a spot with morning sun in the winter!

We have been coming to Mather most springs for about 20 years, and the 'Canyon experience' has never been as good as this year, with less crowds and more amiable encounters.
The sites are reasonably well separated and the restrooms cleaned frequently. There is adequate shelter in most of the sites we have used.
The store was better supplied than I had expected, but eating opportunities were very limited. There is a good place for sandwiches (& more!) in Tusayan - Foody.

Campground was clean, close to the plaza and visitor center, making biking to the rim quick! If no bike, the drive from the campground to plaza, visitor center or village were all quick and easy! Campground park rangers were helpful and informative.
