Site was pretty level, we could park without any jacks even though it wasnt perfect. For reference, we were driving a Cruise America large RV (30 Class C) and it was a snug fit due to a tree on the left and a rock to the right. Nevertheless, parking it wasnt really hard. Site was pretty private with a lot of space between neighbors. To get to the shuttle it is easier to walk through other campgrounds instead of following the road.

We arrived late, but that really was not a problem.

Quiet, clean campground. Friendly staff. We were in our 25 foot trailer. Able to fill my fresh water tank directly at the entrance. No hook ups. Free dump station on site. Many sites, including ours, had significant sloping, so leveling can be a challenge. Generator time is just two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening, so that could be tricky depending on your needs. We have 6KW of battery power and a 350W solar panel, so it worked out just fine for us. The temperatures in the summertime can get up into the low 90s, so be mindful of that.

Excellent campground. Site 124 was great, but I wouldnt bring a large trailer - our entire rig is about 45. These couple sites in the 120s are pretty private, as are the sites in the 180s.

Mather is a large, clean, well-equipped campground. There are coin operated showers and laundry available at the main entrance. The staff is very kind. The bathrooms are always clean, with electrical outlets. The Grand Canyon South Rim has ranger programs, star programs, and tours. Just go to the rim to watch the sunrise, or set. It is amazing. Take a bus or a bicycle ride up Hermit Hill. Do wish there was a specific bike lane for cyclists on Hermit Hill. You must dismount your bike every time a bus goes by, and that is a lot. The Grand Canyon Village Market and Deli carries everything you need, but it will be more expensive than a regular grocery store. Its worth it to go and take a look though.Being at the Grand Canyon you can meet people from all over the world. It is a great experience. Highly recommend camping at Mather.

We had a spacious campsite, with elk visiting. The shuttle bus was very easy to use, plenty of stops. Beauty of the Grand Canyon is stunning. Don't miss the Kolb brother Studio. Also appreciate the RV dump available just before registration.

While the park rangers were great the employees of the private concessionaires were very rude. Especially those cleaning the the shower and bath facility’s . Which by the way are in terrible condition as are the pump out area of the campground. Hate to think what tourists from other countries think when they visit this National Park as it is a disgrace.

Nice clean campground. Windy all the time. Showers were not open.

This was one of our absolute favorite spots to camp since there was nice shade from trees, but still sparse enough to let some sunlight through when the mornings were chilly. The campsite had many people, but each site had it's own little parking space which made it feel secluded. The restrooms were clean. The location is perfect as it is right near the Grand Canyon and the village. We were very comfortable in our campervan here.
