Even though the govt. was shut down, Mather was open. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The elk were abundant; close and their bugling was nature at its best.

Location was good, bus route was nearby, bathrooms fine, the one shower building was fine, just had to drive to it.

Beautiful campground within walking distance of the rim. Our site was across the drive from the bathrooms which was very convenient. Lots of space and greenery between sites. Loved the free table at the checkin building. We left some unused food. The only inconvenience were the laundry and shower hours. After a day of exploring it would be nice to take a shower.

Quiet campground, we were there in early march , our site was next to restrooms, which were very clean . staff at check in very nice and friendly. the campground is perfect for a stay within the park, and close to trails. Easy to drive 30ft RV around in without problems. only problems were showers closed at 4 pm , and there was no water to fill our tank. Im sure just early season issues. 18$ a night , close to everything, best option to spend as much time as possible in the south rim !

It was a pleasant stay and we were privileged to see many animals.

Nice clean park. Spaces not very large but okay. We saw several rvs turning around and going down the street the wrong way in order to get parked the way they wanted. Had one truck driver with his back close to the road edge which made it difficult for for larger motorhomes.

This is my second stay this season. I love the beauty of this campground and itโ€™s location, so close to the canyon, village and the grocery store. The bathrooms are maintained at a high standard. There were elk wandering in and out of my campground; just amazing.

Lovely campground conveniently located within the park. Access to bath house, water, etc. was good. Unfortunately the shuttles were not running during our visit (due to COVID) so that required us to walk to the trails, etc. because parking is limited. No cell service.
