We visited during the .gov shutdown, but everything was clean and well taken care of. While the vegetation was sparse, the camp spots were far enough away from each other to provide a little privacy. We only stayed a night, but plan to return and enjoy this wonderful campground.

We loved our stay at Mather Campground! The restrooms were near to the campsite and they were clean. We felt safe throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend a stay at Mather Campground!

Grand Canyon National Park is my favorite destination and I love staying steps from the rim at Mather Campground. There are many awesome, levelish, spots for my camper, and I enjoy walking along all of the rim trails with my dog. Thankful for all the staff who do an awesome job to keep the park clean and safe so we can enjoy this national treasure.

Great campground! Have stayed here many times. Cell coverage for AT&T much improved. The only reason I didnt give it five stars is the shower situation is disappointing. They contract the shower facility out to a private organization, and they close at 3:45 PM every day.

Large nice sites for national park. Groceries, cafe, pub, laundry and showers all nearby. You can walk to the rim, easy maybe 1 mile walk, or take the bus that can be crowded at times.

April was a great time to visit the Grand Canyon. Mather Campground was wonderfully sping like in the morning and it was nice the entire day. Never to hot. The drive through campsites were easy to access and yet spaced far enough apart so no one bothered others. Nice quiet nights and crisp mornings. The Rangers were polite. The Camp hosts were not intrusive. Bath rooms were clean and stocked, Wonderful stay.

Just left the FIR Loop and already have my next stay booked! Flushing toilets, sinks, both which were clean! Amazing amenities w/i the GC. Absolutely loved the shuttle service, will be renting bike & hitting the trails next time! Did not use showers but if my stay was longer, i wouldve been more than comfortable doing so there. Stay here! <3

Staying at Mather Campground was a great experience with the exception of those campers who ran their generators in off hours. Otherwise, I would highly recommend the campsites and the facilities.

It was a nice campground with good size lots. There was areas to get water and the bathrooms were super clean. The only downfall to the campground was that the showers closed at 1245 pm. I would think that after a long day of walking around the Grand Canyon, and sitting at your camp. You might want to shower at night before bed. The showers take quarters. $2.50 for 5 min.
No showers but campground is open? You get 3 stars instead of 5
