Love the group campsite. It had plenty of space for our group and let us get together when it was otherwise difficult to acquire multiple individual campsites next to each other. We look forward to our next visit to the super clean, awesome Grand Canyon Mather Campground!

Loved the surrounding area very close to canyon and other facilities. Restrooms can be bit more clean

Really cool campground very close to the market and the heated bathrooms were a huge plus!

It was clean easy to navigate around - close to amenities and perfect for our group.

Awesome Group Campground because it is large and spacious. It is close to the restroom but the rest rooms. Shower & laundry facilities are off site, maybe a 5ish minute walk from the group site.

The campsite was really comfortable, next to the restrooms. The restrooms were heated, which was great because the weather was cold. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the scenery is unbelievable.

1. Our site had plenty of shade and was close to the restrooms. 2. The road network into Sage Loop needs to be clearly marked (repaint arrows on road and maybe signs at driver eye level to understand the flow of traffic). 3. There isn't any delineation of boundaries of our site, so it makes it difficult to determine how far we are allowed to set-up tents. 4. Our neighbors across the street woke up at 2:40am to hike the canyon, and they were VERY loud to the point that it woke up everyone in our party. They were seniors from a school in California (with chaperones) and they showed absolutely no respect for the privacy of others. I said as much to them when I encountered them near the river on our hike. 5. Garbage was overflowing in the cans around the restrooms. 6. $2.50 for a 5 minute shower is gouging the visitor especially with the showers being the size of a small closet. 7. If you are going to the river, expect 7-9 hours (8-11 if going to Phantom Ranch). 8. Water is plentiful along the way, but bring Pedialyte and snacks.

The group campsite was very spacious with several picnic tables. The bathroom was close by, and it was a short walk to the showers. It was also a short walk to the shuttle stop, so we had easy access to most trailheads and other attractions. I would gladly reserve a group site in the future.

Clean bathrooms, clean areas, accessible resources. Would have liked for showers to have been opened a few hours in the late evening instead of closing at 4pm.

Absolutely lovely location! So lucky we snug a spot right next to the Grand Canyon. Bathrooms are amazingly clean and the site is very well maintained. Will definitely stay there again. We did a bright Angel trip while being there.

Only minor problem was the sink not working when we were there. Everything else was excellent. We had a blast. Definitely come back next year!
