We stayed at Aspen loop site # 29. We had tons of space! Walking distance to the shower/laundry/small store (ice, wood, etc.) as well as a close walk to the bus going east and west (two different stops). We even had an Elk on our campsite. There was a path close by that was great for running in the morning (would advise staying away from the canyon rim for a run as its way too crowded!).

Easy to find and spacious campsite plenty of room to set up two tents. Bathrooms are clean and there is a nearby store if you forget anything. Parking area is right next to campsite so its easy to load our stuff. The only downside was the location was too close to a main road and we would hear cars passing by at night. Other then that it was great!

Great Campground!!We stayed for 5 days in November in a travel trailer. Bathrooms were clean and warm. Great transportation by the buses at the park- didnt have to wait. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt welcomed

The campsite is nice but not as scenic as other campgrounds. Because of winter there was no water outside where you could wash dishes and it made complicated also to refill the water bottles I had. Washing machines & dryers were close and showers too, price was right. The campground market has everything and can be reached by walking.

Mather Campground is very well maintained, close to various breathtaking scenic points. The shuttle service from the Visitor Center is an added commuting benefit if you do not want to drive around. One will surely spot an Elk during their stay. It is relatively pleasant in the campground from the shade provided by the trees. Market Plaza is a good resource for shopping grocery, eatables etc. Make sure to drive to the desert view watchtower, that drive is scenic and offers many breathtaking views. There are public bathrooms with flush toilets in the campground itself. We stayed in the Aspen loop and had a wonderful experience.

Mather Campground was excellent. It has showers (for $2.50 for 5 minutes). It has bathrooms, that were clean. There was one clogged toilet in the men's room but that was resolved. There is running water for drinking from spigots. It was very quiet and everyone was respectful of quiet hours. A lot of pregnant elk were wandering around. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Lovely campground. Very large sites encourage sense of privacy. Washrooms and shower facilities adequate, if not fancy.

Showers and common area were not kept up with and overpriced. We were happy with the campsite and space but was disappointed with shower building.

Great location. We were within walking distance of the rim or we could catch a shuttle depending on how we were feeling. Staff was really helpful getting us set up.

campsite was level and with plenty of space to pitch a tent. sites close together, but noise level not bad.

Nice campsite in a good location within the park. Easy to navigate to by following signs when you enter the park. Quick drive to the visitor's center and Mather Point where you can access parking, shuttles, etc.

Shower and laundry rooms were closed due to Covid, not being mentioned on web before coming. Blue shuttle buses also operational. Should increase numbers of running buses to reduce waiting time as less passengers were allowed onto the bus.
