Desert View had everything one would want in a campground. It was quiet and clean. Chris the *volunteer* camphost stationed himself prominently outside to answer questions, and I really enjoyed our conversations. The bathrooms were the cleanest I've seen in a campground and he visited and tidied up every site immediately after the campers left. I also appreciated the many patrol rounds he made throughout the day and evening.

Nice quiet campground. Everything was well maintained. Our site was good. Short walking distance to the rim and Watchtower. Host was onsite and available. Would camp there again.Had a bonus experience as well - a bull elk spent a few hours grazing around the bath house. Very cool!

The campground was spotless, sites close together however do offer some privacy! The campground was full each night!

Great campground. Very well kept and very quiet. Bathrooms were clean and the laundry/ dish sink was a nice, added bonus. The hosts did an excellent job also. This campgrounds distance from the parks visitors center made for a quiet, relaxing camping experience and incredible star-gazing at night!

Loved this campground. I was there for 3 nights. Something to keep in mind is that it is 45 minutes away from the visitor center and has no showers. But the drive over and back to the visitor center was peaceful and I loved starting off my morning like that. I also easily showered at the mathers campground. The distance and isolation was a great getaway and the campground was well kept with a large area to yourself to set up tents/rv/chairs and all thats wanted for your campsite

Lovely campsite, as expected. The only downside was a group of young people who arrived at the campsite opposite at midnight, and showed scant respect for the quiet time, by slamming their vehicles doors over thirty (!) times as they set up camp. 99% of all campers in national parks and the like are respectful and quiet, but unfortunately a peaceful nights sleep gets ruined by a minority of inconsiderate people. They should be banned from national parks.

Beautiful location, best views of the canyon hands down. Camping spots are really quit and the bathroom is always clean. Definitely coming back here when i get the chance.

It was well laid out so we felt we had plenty of space. I liked to canyon rim access and the camp host, Chris, was very friendly and informative.

Beautiful camp ground! Everything is clean and the camp sites are plenty big enough for a 25 ft rig. The manager is knowledgeable and very nice. Being at the end (or beginning) of the Trail makes for less congestion. I would recommend this camp ground.
