I enjoyed how dark it was after sunset. It makes viewing the night sky perfect. People kept their outdoor lights off and it was quiet. The grounds were well kept.

Very nice smaller campground. The sites are large and can accomidate a large tent. Water and the restrooms are a short walk. The cleanest bathrooms ever! You can walk to the Watch Tower and there is short hike from campground to the rim with fantastic views.

These campgrounds are beautiful, clean, shady, and quiet with picnic tables and parking spots. They are just a short walk from the South Rim, which has excellent views of the sunset and sunrise and a visitor's center with a caf (coffee and food), multiple gift shops, and a gas station. Despite these amenities being so close by, the campground remains reserved and peaceful, with no foot or car traffic from anyone except those staying at the sites. We would have stayed many more nights if we could have.

A nice, quiet campground. The road coming into the east end is pretty rough.

Desert View Campground is a nice quiet place set in the high desert with Juniper trees throughout the campground. The campground host was polite. The restroom was busy a lot but adequate for the facility. Desert View might be my new favorite campground!

The campground was gorgeous. However, the sites are extremely small, and should ours should not have come up for an RV search. The trip was interesting. Our hosts, the Isaacs, were amazing. However... there were two others (Fred and Kate, hereafter known as Chad and Karen) that were rude, condescending, and petty. When you roll up on a campsite and the first thing you say is, "I kicked out the last guy here..." Really? How long are you going to live your high school glory days? Have you done so little in life that this is where you get your kicks: bragging about how "badass" you are? I could only imagine he was some sports guy in his day and Karen as the committee leader of anything and everything that would make her the center of attention. I hope that in the future we come across more Isaacs (who were a delight and welcoming) and fewer narcissists. The campsite was fine, everything was clean and as advertised.

It is as the description says (calm, few camping spots, no showers). The place is incredibly beautiful

Its an awesome spot and there is plenty of wildlife around the sites. Its a short walk to the watch tower where you can get awesome sunrise and sunset views.

The camp host was super helpful and friendly. Ask him for a secret pathway to a unique view of the canyon

Lovely campground. Great campground hosts. Many camp sites are very short so if in a camping trailer, you may have to disconnect your tow vehicle to fit. Consider your camping needsyou may need a pull-through spot.

Campsite was clean and cozy. my only note is that there were many rocks at our site in particular, we had number 3. But it is so close to the actual Canyon you can easily hike for 10 minutes and be there fore an epic sunrise.

This campground is very well maintained by Alan and the other host. Alan provides a great welcome when you register and gives you information about the park and campground to enhance your visit. Pretty spacious in terms of distance to next campsite. I would definitely recommend Desert View to anyone visiting Grand Canyon.
