Always enjoyable experience exploring Glacier NP from base camp at St Mary.

Our 4 night stay at St. Mary's campground was very enjoyable. The campround was very clean and the campground personal were friendly and helpful. Our site was a bit tight for our 30' travel trailor but we did not spend too much time at the site. It goes without saying that Glacier National Park is beautiful. The trails for hiking were well marked and maintained. Early morning hikes are recommended to beat the crowds. Parking and trials did get crowded.

The campground itself is fairly undeveloped with poor facilities. Of course the reason for being there is access to the views. We would return for that reason.

excellent campground both facilities and views are great. It was weird that apgar campground was full and not available but st mary campground still had many sites the same day. I think st mary lake is more beautiful than lake mcdonald. And this campground is better than those in west glacier. By the way, the verizon service there is excellent there.
