We enjoyed our stay at St Mary's CG! The sites are small and unshaded, however, the bathrooms were very clean and the area was serene and in a great spot to access hikes in the area!

The area around Saint Marys must have had a big fire, most of the big trees are just charred sticks now. Not much shade at this site. The store area had lots of visitors and ranger activities going on.

it was a nice peaceful area to camp. i liked that there showers to use(although not much hot water). Was nice to use after a long day of hiking. I had Camp spot C124. It's not too far away from bathroom so it's a couple spots away from bathroom so not a far walk late at night if you need to use the bathroom. Spot has a little bit of protection from the sun when it's setting but kind of exposed in morning and afternoon.

Good Location and camping decent. For whatever reasons they had shut down the shower/bathroom on the loop and installed a 1 Unisex hole privvy to replace it. That was totally insufficient, 3 comodes and 1 urinal out of action and a 1 holer to replace that? If any work was being done to bring the down showers back into service it didn't happen the week I was there; I never saw one nail being hammered on the roof or any work done. The site was a bit tight because of unrestrained foliage growth where the slideout had to go. It made getting anything out of the slideout compartments quite an adventure. The barricades to prevent driving onto the tent pad were also a hassle and constantly in the way. Why not just write a ticket if someone breaks the rule? We had our citronella candle and 2 water ketles moved to the bear box by the host. Really? I never found a single instance online of a bear being attracted to a candle and if they are atrracted to water then Glacier NP must have millions of them because there is water everywhere! LOL! I can only rate it a good. Rules regarding pets and leashes were constantly not enforced and I saw a ranger drive past a generator running outside of posted allowed hours. Yet my candle and water kettles were a threat that required action......

Make sure to check out the ranger programs going on, the astronomy program was amazing! Would have been 5 stars except the showers were broken or under construction and I had some noisy neighbors. Beautiful campground
