Nice campground with hot showers. Just across the river from the visitor's center -- there's a footbridge that allows for a quick walk over there. Convenient location!

There is only 1 shower building with only 4 showers for this huge campground. The showers are in need of an upgrade as well. Also, the camping sites also need some care and upgrade (poor picnic tables, broken wooden posts in the sites, holes where posts previously were). Many sites have poor privacy, no trees between neighbours.

A beautiful and clean camp ground, near the Visitor's Center. Beautiful views. Spacious. Reasonably priced.

Only 2 working showers for entire campground. Bathroom wasn't cleaned for 3 days. Entire campground is covered with scrubby undergrowth type of vegetation that feels very unkempt, unmaintained, and unattractive. Very few trees. Each site needs its own bear box. Having to share communal boxes actually discourages their use because you worry that someone else will take your stuff.

Great campground best views. Not very private. But it’s worth the sunsets. Bathrooms and showers were decent. Very happy they had showers.

No showers. They are closed for season. No notification of this lack of key amenity. Bathrooms clean and nice. No shade and lots of wind. Not safe to leave tent unattended due to wind. Cell phone signal is good. Close to town. Private campground would have been better choice since they arent that far away.

St. Mary had beautiful mountain views. Sites are sheltered by lower bushes (not a lot of tall trees) so the wind could be a bit tricky. Overall, the campground was clean, well-maintained, and we all enjoyed the ranger programs!

We were able to book a last minute reservation at St. Mary's campground, but only for one night. The rangers were very helpful and told us that if we got up early and waited in line at nearby Rising Sun campground (first come first served) we would probably be able to get one there, which we did. We were in line by 7am, were about the 6th car in line, and only 2-3 more cars after us were able to get spots, so thanks for the tip rangers! We had a great time.
