Saint Marys is a 5 Star campground. We did not have a reservation (highly recommend) but were fortunate enough to get an available spot in B - Loop. Restroom facilities nearby were well maintained and accommodating for those essential needs. Having a clean shower facility after a day of hiking, was a big plus. The only issue, and in no way a deterrent from ever returning, was the drive through campsite that we were fortunate to have. Our camper entry and awning side were opposite the campsite due to the entry and exit directions into the site. No big deal, but thats why reservations are highly recommended. An easy hike to the Visitor Center for the Free shuttles into Glacier Park for a number of great hikes was a real plus. And one last mention, I / we, appreciate the friendliness of the Park Rangers and campground host. Their willingness to help us understand the splendor and beauty as well as the dangers within the park were above par. Kudos to the parks personnel. And in closing, I think St Marys CG will remain our go to campground when visiting Glacier National Park.

It was disappointing to see only two out of the four available showers functional for the whole campground. One of which doesnt have hot water. Its an amazing place to camp but improvements need to be made. To not have the infrastructure maintained really takes away from the experience. The site I was at (B91) was not level and had trip hazards from wooden poles once being in the ground but cut off 4 or so above the surface. Glacier is the most beautiful place on earth. Please invest more resources into making this campground worthy of the destination.

I really enjoyed this campground. Ot was peaceful despite a lot of people at the sites. The showers were located on loop c and there were only 4. Each camp site seemed to be different sizes, so I wish I would have known heading in the size of the site since we have a bigger tent, but it worked out and was overall a nice place to camp. Will stay here again if we get the chance to visit Glacier National Park!

Site B91 at St Mary left a lot to be desired. There is no shade as all the surrounding vegetation is low growing or new Aspen. The site is directly next to the bathrooms, which was convenient, but it meant people come and go constantly. The showers were a pretty long walk with no easy cut-through and the lines were too long so we didn't use them. We didn't get to explore the grounds much beyond our site to know what other amenities or trails existed.

Ok campsite. Well maintained but can be hot as little shade. Next time will try Many Glacier, about a half hour away

St. Mary campground was very nice, clean and quiet, with beautiful views. We camped in a 19 foot trailer, and the pull-through campsite was very adequate for our trailer. The bathrooms were nicely spaced throughout the campground, and were very clean. The showers in loop C were also nice, but tended to be crowded in late afternoon and evening times. The only negative was that our site was on the left side of the road, so the door of our trailer faced the road instead of the campsite. Our camping reservation here did get us daily access to Going-to-the-Sun road, a benefit that was not made expressly clear beforehand on any of the park websites that we could find.
