The campsite was clean as well as the restroom and shower facilities. Also the 7:00pm presentation at the visitor center was excellent, educational, and entertaining!

After spending a few nights at Apgar, we opted for a few nights at St. Mary's to be closer to Many Glacier and Two Medicine. We could not have loved it more! The location is quieter and less crowded, and the views are breathtaking. It was also much faster to Logan Pass from St. Mary than Apgar. If we went back again, I'd choose to spend 90% of my time on the East side because the experience was exactly what I wanted from a quiet mountain trip.

Campground itself was okay. Being virtually stuck at the campground for most of our day was a great disappointment. We knew we couldnt drive our RV around in Glacier National Park, so we were counting on the shuttle service to take us to the hiking spots. When we booked, it said the park shuttles would run when the roads were open. When we got there, we were told due to the budget cuts, the shuttles were not going to start up before July 1. Had we been informed of this change, we would not have gone there.

Very nice kept campground. Our site 110 is a short walk to the amphitheater. There was a great ranger talk every evening during our stay. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

The campground is older, but perfectly fine. There was a fire at some point in the past and that wiped out larger trees. Our site had some small aspens and some scrub brush. Other sites were out in the open. Use google earth to choose your site. There are water faucets in the campground but they’re not east to find. Maybe a map including those would be good. The cell reception is excellent and you’re close to the exit to the park. All good. The park is AMAZING.

Going to the Sun Road was not open but there was still lots to do. Campground is well maintained and has plenty of potable water, showers, bathrooms and dish washing sinks. Visitors center is short walk from the campground. Ranger Station built in 1913 where very informative and wonderful Native America Speaks series speakers gave a presentation. Hiked around the Beaver Pond Trail.Next day took a boat ride on St. Mary Lake. Our large RV can be driven 6 miles in park on Going to Sun Road. Turnaround was parking lot for boat ride. Next day made a fairly short drive to Many Glacier. This is my favorite part of our trip.2 mile stretch of road was not paved but rig made it. It was worth it. Saw 2 moose and 1 grizzly bear from rv, which was close enough for us. Many Glacier Lodge was amazing and mountains surrounding Swiftcurrent Lake were the most beautiful I have ever seen

I really liked this campground! Our campsite was great and was glad they provided pull-thru sites. We had a nice view too.
