So beautiful at this location in the fall!

Even though it rained on us we loved the campsite and view of the mountains. And the proximity to town was nice.

Nice host, quiet site, lot of privacy

Great spot to stay for a few days and explore Glacier. The town of St. Mary is very close for necessities, although like most people, Id suggest you fill up on gas and groceries before you arrive (gas was a full dollar more expensive than in Browning!). Was surprised to have cell service (Verizon) and the lack of trees meant my Starlink connection was great, too. Really enjoyed the nightly ranger-led talks in the campground.

We visited July 5th and 6th. Fireworks that sounded in or close to campground, rowdy campers nearby. Seemed to be no enforcement
of rules at night. Noticed no Ranger at gate like past years. Maybe they’re short handed. Last year was enjoyable but this year felt a little unsafe…. Went to Riding Sun next night which
was really enjoyable and quiet.

Stayed in site B72, which is a very small site on a corner. The only spot for our tent was within 10 feet of the RV in the site next to us. On the last night of our stay, June 6, the RV next to us ran their generator throughout the night, starting at 3:00 am.
I appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback.

I have a 35 trailer, with that said my site was a little tight on room. Most sites are a little tight on room for larger rigs, just beware.

It was nice being inside the park and having daily access to the GTSR. The campground has very little trees and there is absolutely no privacy. Sites are very close together. But our site, C106, had a beautiful view and was close to the restrooms. The showers during our stay in July were unavailable due to construction which was disappointing. The ranger programs were awesome. You can walk from the campground to the St. Mary's visitor center which was nice. There is a dump station and fresh water taps throughout the campground. The restrooms were some of the cleanest I have ever experienced at a campground. I will say that the process of securing a reservation was a nightmare. I sat on my computer six months and a week before our desired dates trying to secure a site every day for 10 days. I ended up having to piece together various sites from what I could secure through the reservation system and the cancellations of those who were lucky enough to actually get through. There has to be a better way!
