Absolutely wonderful experience. We loved St Mary's Campground. It was peaceful and the location was perfect to access the park and Two Medicine and Many Glacier. We had a very picturesque view in our campsite, plenty of open skies for solar which kept us powered and starlink which kept us connected when we needed to be. We ever had decent phone signal. Our site was quite spacious. We had a 36ft 5th wheel and fit nicely.

There are some very nice looking sites in St Mary CG but C148 is not one of them. Being the site right by the only shower house in the loop, people walked right through our site and waited for the showers pretty much right in the campsite. Not really surprising since it does not look like a campsite but more like a parking lot. It was also the closest place to park near the amphitheater which also invited folks to walk right through our campsite. There are no trees so perhaps a shelter would make this site more appealing and less like a parking lot? Maybe plant some native trees? It is an ADA accessible site but what a shame for wheelchair bound guests to have to camp in such a pitiful site. You are better than this National Park Service!!

Awesome time. Saw lots of wildlife. Camp ground very clean and maintained. One of the showers was out of service but they were working diligently to get it up for the 4th holiday

St. Mary's campground is wonderful. We stayed in C section and that was great. We loved the East side of GNP. This is situated in the middle of the East side and is perfect for seeing Many Glacier road and Going to the Sun Road. Even though the Going to the Sun road was closed before Jackson Glacier the scenery was amazing. Many Glacier Road has a section that is full of potholes but still lots to see and do. We visited the other entrances and St. Mary's was definitely our favorite.

Our first night in the park and The Going to the Sun road through Glacier was closed for hours due to an accident. By the time we made it to St Mary's a note met us saying we could not stay in the park in a tent due to bear activity. It was now 8 PM, pitch dark and the kids were exhausted, but we were homeless and had no idea where to go. Traveling on we found a hotel but the two rooms left were $300 each which we could in no way afford. We kept traveling, ended up on an extremely scary drive through construction and random black cattle on the road (which we named Dead Cow Pass), and had to drive all the way to Brewer for a $240 hotel at 10 PM. It was a horrible experience and should have been better handled by St Marys Campgeound staff such as someone there to guide us (they must have known the road was closed) or a note to let us know that we apparantly had a campsite available to us at Two Medicine. We ended up at Two Medicine the following day and it was a wonderful campground, but we had to cut our trip short to pay for the huge budget bust the hotel cost.
